This challenge involves creating an API utilizing Ambassador Blackbird for API development. Here are the requirements for your API:
* You must provide an OAS file that describes your API
* Your API must have 5 endpoints minimum
* You must integrate your work in Blackbird into a development workflow (regardless of implementation language)
* Your API must be deployed and running in Blackbird’s hosted environment
* Use as many Blackbird CLI Commands as possible, all need to be validated
* Setup a CI/CD workflow that uses Blackbird instances
* Demonstrate areas where Blackbird is saving time during the development process
* Your API code will be tested and run by our judges
* Points for creativity/ thinking outside the box with your API!
We’re looking for a submission that utilizes Blackbird to create a functional, unique, and hardy API that solves a creative problem. You’ll submit a demo showcasing your API and its associated CI/CD workflow. You’ll also submit your API code with its associated API spec file and any other relevant code or scripts. Our team will watch the demo as well as test your code to ensure everything works as it should.
Anyone who participates in our Hackathon challenge, regardless of placement, will receive an extended free trial of Ambassador Blackbird for API development.

This challenge is all about speed. Perform the greatest number of different Blackbird operations in the shortest amount of time possible while also producing a killer API! This challenge involves building an API that utilizes as many Blackbird commands as possible (you will be given complimentary access to our full suite of features), including:
* Generating a Spec
* Mocking Your API
* Generating Code
* Running Your Code
* Deploying Your Code
You will be judged on your usage data and how many commands you utilize along the way. We’re looking for the team or individual that completes the largest variety of commands in the smallest amount of elapsed time from start to finish. This will require you to record a video of you building and demoing your API start to finish in Blackbird and then recording a similar video done manually and/or with other tool(s).
You’ll submit both recordings, as well as your code and scripts, showcasing how much time you saved in Blackbird to produce the same great result. Our team will watch both demos as well as test your code to ensure everything works as it should. Please demonstrate the ability for a 3rd party (like our judges) to push a change to your code and show how fast you can make an API code change. You should walk out of this challenge with two functional solutions, but one that shows how much time you saved by doing it in Blackbird.

We’ve arrived at an exciting frontier of technology innovation and designed the Epson Innovation Challenge for developers, product designers and cutting edge startups to rapidly test their creativity and skills developing innovative solutions with the Epson Connect API on top of world renowned hardware products. Epson offers an attractive platform of over tens of millions sold printers and scanners across more than 150 countries. This is a very unique opportunity where innovators could get a rocket boost by partnering with a trusted brand with a global reach.
Epson is especially interested in solutions that compliments customer needs of sizable user populations in consumer and B2B markets, leveraging technologies such as Generative AI, ML, or OCR. Desired solutions are those that create a clear competitive advantage for the user experience compared to a standard print or scan function. Participants should bundle print or scan services to create a digital to analog to digital information flow. For instance:
* Automated printing workflows on top of photo management applications (i.e Google Photos) or social media (i.e Instagram, Pinterest). Allowing users to create tangible photo albums from their memories and interests at home.
* Customized media printouts based on topics of interests identified through user preferences from media applications (i.e Apple News, news blogs or coupon websites for seniors)
Using AI to generate automated personalized greeting cards for every moment including birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries of loved ones.
* Provide on-demand distributed printing and scanning services at strategically located facilities such as libraries,coffee shops, hotels, co-working spaces,office printing centers, and transit hubs, enhancing accessibility to printing solutions.
* Integrate a comprehensive printing and scanning solution that bridges disparate system interfaces, converting output data into physical and subsequently digitizing it. Enhancing value and enriching the user experience across diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, and government.
Innovation Challenge ideas must leverage Epson Connect™ (https://www.epsondevelopers.com/api/epson-connect/), the secure cloud service for scan and print workflows and will have to look beyond a simple print or scan function in their solution. Desirable ideas will demonstrate a creative mix of scanning, data processing, and printing to address untapped opportunities in both consumer and commercial use cases.

APIs are the backbone of modern digital experiences, enabling communication between applications and services. However, securing APIs without compromising performance or usability can be a challenge. Your task is to design and build a secure, scalable, and innovative API-driven solution using Auth0’s powerful authentication and authorization features.
Challenge Goals:
1. Build an API-driven application that leverages Auth0 to secure API access, protect sensitive data, and authenticate users or devices.
2. Implement API security best practices such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and machine-to-machine (M2M) authorization.
3. Explore the use of Auth0 to protect public-facing, partner, or internal APIs, ensuring that only authorized users or systems can access them.

a. Build an API gateway that securely manages access to multiple microservices. Use Auth0 to implement OAuth 2.0 client credentials, API tokens, and role-based access control (RBAC) for different service consumers.

Develop an AI assistant using the Hasura Data Delivery Network (DDN) that enhances the capabilities of a team/teams within your organization. This AI co-pilot should empower team members by providing intelligent access to data, insights, and the automation of routine tasks. By interacting with data through natural language, the assistant will help the team act with the right information, make informed decisions, and improve efficiency/productivity.
Challenge outline:
Identify and choose a problem that you and your team face at work, which can be solved by an AI tool/assistant acting on your organization’s data. Think of your support teams looking to manage the customer tickets, engineering teams trying to manage their sprints and repositories, or HR teams trying to understand employee data. Be as creative as possible.
Connect at least 1 data source to your AI app using Hasura DDN. The more data sources you build on, or the more sophisticated the use case is, the more points you get. These data sources can range from your SQL/NoSQL/Vector databases, APIs, Logs, Docs, etc. If you do not have access to your organization’s data, then it’s also acceptable to use public data sets or AI-generated data.
Define a semantically descriptive Hasura DDN supergraph.
The solutions should demonstrate Hasura AI’s capabilities to perform computations, aggregations, and analytics (programmatic and semantic) on your data.
Judging criteria/requirements:
Validity and complexity of the problem.
Diversity and quality of the data sources and the supergraph.
Co-pilots that can flexibly answer user queries using Hasura DDN and do not rely on pre-defined/canned workflows.
