The hackathon takes place on November 22, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Only accessible Saturday Nov 22, 2025 from 3:20 PM and due 6:00 PM on Devpost.

Eligibility

Open to UCI students of all majors and experience levels. Teams may have 1 to 4 members. All work must be created on the day of the event.

Project and Submission Requirements

Projects must be original and built during the hackathon. Use of Claude is required. External libraries are allowed. All teams must submit a GitHub link, demo video, and Devpost write up before the deadline.

Judges

Our judging panel includes leaders from the UCI clubs. Judges will review all submissions and select the top teams.

Judging Criteria

Innovation: Originality of the idea, creativity in the approach, and unique features that make the project stand out.

Technical Complexity: Depth of implementation, quality of engineering, and how well the team demonstrates technical skill.

Usability: How effectively the solution works, how intuitive it is to use, and how well it solves the intended problem.

Impact: Strength of the project’s potential impact and how well it can scale beyond the prototype.

Presentation: Clarity of explanation, strength of communication during the demo, and the team’s ability to engage the audience.
