| 1. Basement of 1130 Taylor Road
[3...2...1...]
[The clock strikes 12:00. Nothing happens except for the annoying video broadcast over the TV. Bazett lets out a sigh of relief. She had been on edge for much of December 31st, preparing for whatever disaster Mayfield would throw at them. Now, it seems that at least this holiday would be allowed to pass in peace.]
[She gets ups, stretches, and then heads out of the basement to make some hot chocolate. It would calm her down in time to finally get some sleep.]
[As she sits on the couch wrapped in a blanket, sipping the drink, listening to quiet songs on the radio, and half-dozing, the radio starts broadcasting a strange message. It is enough to make her tense up all over again. She turns up the radio and strains her ears, trying to decipher the half-garbled voices. Throughout the broadcast, she can make out an androgynous, robotic voice. It sounded spooky...but also pitiful and sad...]
[The broadcast ends. After waiting for a few minutes, she finally decides that no disasters would occur and heads to bed.]
2. Outside 1130 Taylor Road
[Those who pass by the house today will be treated to a strange sight. A woman is banging at her door with a very hard loaf of French bread. They can choose to stand and stare, or they can approach her and ask her what she is doing.]
3. Phone; unfiltered
I cannot believe that they are going to let us celebrate New Year's without incident. Nevertheless, Happy New Year.
[It is late, but she is finally getting into the Holiday Spirit.]
|
| [December 22]
[The door to Bazett's house is not so opened--it is kicked so hard that it caves in. Bazett stomps in, absolutely fuming. Her trip to the post office has obviously been unsuccessful.]
1. Phone; filtered to 769 Bunker Street
Sealand, cancel my last request. It is no longer required.
2. Around Mayfield's stores
[Christmas shopping should be a fun activity...which is why this woman, stomping into the stores and looking as if she wants to rip them all apart, looks so out of place.]
[December 24]
1. Outside 310 Miller Street
[Shortly after the initial broadcast, Bazett turns up on the doorstep of 310 Miller Street, her notes in one hand, a shopping bag in another, and a large backpack on her back. She sets the bag down and starts ringing the doorbell again and again.]
Come on...open up...did they already get you, Tohsaka?
2. Outside 1647 Albright Lane
[Bazett is alternating between ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door.]
Alessandro? Are you still in there, Alessandro?

| [Night of December 19th-Morning of December 20th]
Action; All around MayfieldWe wish y' i merry Chris'mas. We wish y' i merry Chris'mas... [After joining in on Rin Kagamine's disastrous attack on the dairy, Bazett, like all of the other attackers, has been droned. However, even as her body walks around, smiling and singing, her mind is perfectly clear.]We wish y' i merry Chris'mas and a happy New Year![She wishes she could hide in a corner or punch the people laughing at her, but she cannot. Instead, she can only smile and continue singing carols off tune in her North Irish accent.]Good tidings we bring to y' and yer kin.[She desperately wants to call for help, or to complain, or to do anything other than bellow out Christmas carols.]Goddamn this tahn for droning us and help us here![The sentence comes out in place of the original lyrics, though the words still comply with the melody. It seems that she has some way to communicate through the ceaseless caroling after all.]
[However, this still does not stop her body from running from door to door, knocking and then bursting into song when the residents answer.][December 21][After finally being allowed to stop singing and go home, Bazett works furiously at her notes. She writes down her new observations and then organizes her notes after she is finished, sustaining herself on cups of coffee. By the time she is done, it is already morning.]Phone; unfiltered....If I disturbed you with my caroling yesterday, I apologize. It should be apparent that I was droned yesterday.

| [Backdated to the 18th]
1. Outside 310 Miller Street[ After talking to Kyon, Bazett decides that she should start her observation with the people she knows. In this case, it means she should observe the Rin copy first. She would behave as if nothing had changed and pretend that the copy is the real Tohsaka. She would then observe the copy's reactions and compare them to those of the real Tohsaka.]
[Before coming over, she has read and re-read her notes to try and get a picture of how the real Tohsaka would react. Yet, as she read over the notes, she realized that the words no longer had any meaning to her. When she had first written them down, she had the memories to back up the claims that she had made on the paper. But now, the lines of text mean no more to her than a quote from the newpapers--they are just words, unbacked by evidence, that she has been asked to accept as unchangeable fact. The most frustrating thing is that she herself had written down these notes.]
[So as she stands outside the door, she keeps on repeating her notes to herself.]Rin Tohsaka is my ally. She is Archer and Lancer's Master. She is a genius mage, but prone to being stubborn, prideful, and rebellious. She tends to let personal issues get in the way of accomplishing her missions and has a tendency to mess up at crucial moments. However, she does care greatly for her few loved ones. She has saved my life more than once.[After she has repeated it enough and is sure that she can remember the information while conversing with the fake Tohsaka, she presses the doorbell.]2. Park[After her visit with the Tohsaka doppleganger, Bazett is sitting on a park bench, observing the constructs that come along. She wants to see if there is any pattern to their behavior.][The 19th]
3. 915 Bilko Boulevard[Bazett rings the doorbell and stands aside, waiting for Kyon to answer. Her observations have been recorded in a spiral notebook that she is carrying with her.]Kyon, I have completed my observations for the day. What about you?
|
| Well, given that I have been playing in Mayfield for more than a month now, Bazett's history has gotten a little long. Therefore, I'm going to make a little log of everything that she's been doing. ( Snarky timeline under cutCollapse ) | |
|
| [It had not been a pleasant sensation, discovering the lack of electricity or running water in her house. Still, it was not as bad as the other events she had experienced. Her house, however cold it got, is still standing. The snow is not bad enough to block up the doorway. Better yet, there seems to be no trace of toxic substances or revenants.]
[Her first instinct to try to get money from her drone husband to stockpile ready-to-eat food. Like during Thanksgiving, the most important objective is that of survival. Even though there is still a good amount of food in the fridge and pantry, she still wants to be prepared for the worst. She finds him sitting in a chair, immobile. After failing to get a response out of him, she simply grabs his wallet and walks off.]
1. Around Town
[Bazett is wandering around town, looking to buy food, clothing, and maybe medicine or weapons from the various stores. Upon discovering the cold, she has thrown on several layers of coats, heavy boots, and a scarf. Her purchases have been shoved into one of her drone kids' backpacks.]
[She is willing to talk to anyone who encounters her, be they offering supplies or asking for them. Even if they want to simply make conversation, then she is still willing to respond.]
2. Park
[Bazett notices the large Christmas tree and the people setting up tents around it. She does not understand why they are choosing to camp in the park, so she will just stand and stare.]
3. Outside 310 Miller Street
[Without the use of her phone, Bazett cannot track down the residences of her allies. Though she has recorded their addresses, she is unfamiliar with the layout of this town and cannot get to their houses. Out of all her allies, she know the directions to Tohsaka's house best; she believes that she will not get lost getting to the house. Therefore, this is the first house that she heads to.]
[She rings the doorbell, only once this time. Then, she waits for any of the residents to answer.]
4. Outside 1647 Albright Lane
[She manages to stumble upon Alessandro's house by accident, but decides that since she is already there, she should check up on the boy. Hopefully, he has not had a panic attack.]
5. Outside 1335 Benny Road
[By the time Bazett manages to get here with all her detours for getting supplies and misdirections, it is already evening. For a while, she just stands outside the house, not sure whether or not she should ring the doorbell.]
[He is a hero--it is clear that she should worry more for herself than for him. Besides, she does not know if he is in the house or not. However, she still wants to check up on him to make sure. But this is the first time that she has visited her hero in his house before...]
[The former cold sensation on the exposed areas of her face is counteracted by the intense heat of her luminescent blush. Taking a deep breath, she finally presses the doorbell.]
|
| 1. Phone; unfiltered
[Bazett has seen something that she, by all rights should not have seen. However, given that it concerns one of her allies more than it does her, she decides she has to play the bearer of bad news.]
If you are Archer or Lancer, please go over to your Master Tohsaka Rin's house as soon as possible. I have a feeling she will need your assisstance soon. If you are not one of these people, please inform them and ask them to go over to Tohsaka's house. Drag them if you have to.
[Her neighbor's instructions had been a great help. This call has been made at normal volumes.]
2. Outside 310 Miller Street
[She was outside Tohsaka's house. She remains still, wondering whether or not she should press the doorbell. She hates the role she must now play. She can only hope that one of the Servants had found out before she did and already notified Tohsaka; or, failing that, Tohsaka has already found out by herself.]
[Taking a deep breath, she presses the doorbell. Not hearing the accompanying chime, she rings it again and again.]
|
| Day 1
[Bazett counts herself lucky that with all the chaos of helping out new arrivals, recovering from hallucinations, figuring out how to use human technology, and dealing with getting her left arm lopped off in the post office in return for lead balls that she could not use, she had almost forgotten about looking for the girl that she had brought home. As a result, she had been down in the basement, searching for possible clues at to the girl's identity.]
[That's when it hit. She's not sure what it was, but whatever it was, it had shaken up the floor over her head.]
[Naturally, she had waited for it to stop shaking to poke her head out of the basement to try to see what was going on.]
[She was greeted with a scene right out of what humans would call hell.]
[The house she currently lived in was gone--everything had been reduced to rubble. The air was filled with smog. To make things stranger, her left arm appeared as quickly as it had initially disappeared back in the post office. Clenching the fingers, she finds that all the nerves seem to be in place, as if it was never cut off in the first place.]
[Lancer had warned her of the insanity in this town, but she had never expected to see something like this. She thinks back and tries to figure out of it this is another hallucination, but she cannot remember eating or contacting anything strange in the last 48 hours. Therefore, this is all too real. Unlike other people, who would have panicked in a situation like this, she instantly reverts to her work persona--that of the calm, rational enforcer.]
[Her first action is to check the ruins for anything salvageable. Holding her hand in front of her mouth, she rushes up the stairs to check in the rooms. There, she finds that the drones are dead, their flesh stripped from their bones. It is a horrible sight, but no worse than other things she had witnessed during her career. Without a second's worth of hesitation, she starts flipping through the half-broken drawers. It irks her that she cannot find Fragarach, especially when she had given her arm up for it. It seems whatever being in charge of this equivalent exchange process had seen fit to take it away and return her arm. She takes the one suit belonging to her drone husband that has been left over and the two remaining flower print dresses. In situations like this, she could not afford to be picky.]
[There are two uncrushed, unbroken boxes of cereal lying in the rubble that had been the kitchen. The refrigerator has been tipped over and the doors have been torn off, but several of the bags of vegetables inside seem still edible. After the fiasco with the mushrooms, she is wary of Mayfield food, but like the clothes, she would take what she could find. Besides, if this was resolved fast enough, she doubts that she would even need to eat the food that she is now carrying.]
[All this has been bundled up in blanket she has recovered from one of the drone children's rooms. Unlike the other blankets, it is only half burned. She ties the singed corners together and then heads out onto the cracked streets. She needs to check to see if any of her allies were still alive, and if they were, to draw up a plan to deal with this situation. At worst, she would be left alone, in which case she would need to primarily focus on her own survival. However, given that there were always wrecked houses to raid, finding a minimum of useable supplies should not be a problem.]
[She is irritated that she is still powerless. As a human, she is vulnerable to whatever dangers lurking in the ruins. She also has no way of sensing whether or not this is the work of some sort of magecraft or figuring out who caused this. She hopes that she will not be an inconvenience to her surviving allies, if there are even any.]
[Her rational side is prepared to accept the worst, but her emotional side was not. She is worried--not for herself, but for Lancer and for the mysterious girl that she still did not know the true identity of.]
[She wants to see Lancer, to make sure that he is alright. Already, she was afraid that she might find him dead like the drones inside the remains of her house. She tries to reassure herself that he is a hero and even what, to a human, would be a fatal wound would not kill him. However, this is not just a stab to the heart--it is utter annihilation. As such, she cannot help but wonder if even he could survive this. She cannot even think of how she would react if she found him dead; the only thing she can do is hope that he is alive.]
[As for the girl, Bazett is not sure what she actually looks like, as both of them had been hallucinating during their last encounter. However, she thinks that she will be able to recognize the girl, through manner if not appearance, if they ever met. The girl is the first person she has helped unconditionally, and even now, she feels a strange connection to her. Perhaps it is because of the sad, empty look in the girl's eyes...]
[So as she walks down the streets covered in rubble, she keeps her eye out for a certain blue haired Heroic Spirit and a lost, lonely girl. She is checking for her other allies--Tohsaka, Archer, Tohsaka's sister, etc., but those two are the ones she is searching the hardest for.]
Day 2
[it seems that no matter how bad situations are, they can always get worse. There are sentient, gun-wielding cannibals running around the ruined town, shooting people down and then consuming their bodies.]
[As an Enforcer, Bazett has seen weirder, and she has certainly seen worse. However, back then, she still had her Magic Circuits.]
[Some of the survivors had managed to subdue a couple of the cannibals and take their guns. However, this option would not work for her because she had no experience with guns. At best, she would avoid shooting her own face off.]
[So now she's armed herself with several half broken kitchen knives. At worst, she could always throw them like she did with her Noble Phantasms.]
[But no matter how she looks at it, she is outclassed. This is why she is careful in her movements. She is determined to avoid running into one of those creatures.]
[Needless to say, that is impossible.]
Day 3
[Bazett is already dead by this day. She will not wake up until the next day, and when she does, she will wonder if the last days were but a nightmare when she sees her reconstructed house.]
|
| 1. 1130 Taylor Road[Bazett woke up with the mother of all headaches. This was understandable, as she had just come off a mushroom induced, emotionally and physically draining hallucinatory drug high. Then she had fallen asleep in her basement next to a hallucinating girl that she had dragged home.]
[Speaking of the girl, she was gone by this time. Bazett is unsure whether or not she had even been real. Only the crumpled quilt seemed to suggest that there had ever been another person in this house.]2. Phone; unfiltered; morning[Bazett grips the phone so hard her knuckles turn white. All she has to do is dial a number to give a call to the rest of the town. It was all a matter of pressing one or two buttons--nothing too hard.]
[Except she had never been good with buttons. Even the microwave's simple heating function had taken years of hard work to master. She still had problems with not causing things to blow up because she pressed the wrong button or getting so frustrated she smashed the entire machine. Like all mages, she was absolutely horrible with human technology.]
[She checks and double checks to see if she is holding the receiver the right way. She thinks she has it right. The end with the little round holes went next to her mouth, right?]
[Taking a deep breath, she presses the buttons. After counting to thirty and seeing that nothing has gone up in flames yet, she gives the town her message.]
[At this time, any of the Mayfield residents who answered their phones will hear Bazett screaming at the top of her lungs into their ears through the receiver.]
THIS IS BAZETT FRAGA MCREMITZ. I LIVE ON 1130 TAYLOR ROAD. IF YOU ARE EMIYA KIRITSUGU, TOHSAKA RIN, OR TOHSAKA RIN'S LANCER, GET OVER TO MY HOUSE NOW. BRING SOMETHING EDIBLE, PREFERRABLY SPICY.
[Last night's drug trip had left her with not only a headache, but an empty stomach as well. However, as a precaution against any other hallucinatory substances, she had thrown out all the food that still remained in her fridge and pantry. Right now, the three people she had asked for were the only people she trusted not to slip her contaminated food. Tohsaka and Lancer were her allies, while Emiya, as an ex-enforcer, should theoretically also be her ally. The request for something spicy had been made with a hangover cure in mind. While the mushrooms had not been alcohol, the pounding headaches they induced were similar enough that she hoped they could be cured with spicy foods.]
IF YOU ARE SOMEONE CLOSE IN POSITION TO ONE OF THESE PEOPLE, GO TELL THEM TO GO TO MY HOUSE. IF THEY REFUSE, DRAG THEM TO MY HOUSE. AGAIN, I AM BAZETT FRAGA MCREMITZ AND I LIVE ON 1130 TAYLOR ROAD.
ALSO, IF ANYONE HAS SEEN A BLUE HAIRED GIRL WITH PLATES OF CURRY AROUND HER WAIST, TELL ME IF SHE'S ALRIGHT.
[She hopes that she has spoken loudly enough for the person at the other end to hear her.]
3. 1130 Taylor Road
[Having made her calls, Bazett sits back and waits to see if any of the people she contacted will come to her house.]
|
| Well, I might as well as put this up. How's my driving? Is my Bazett in character? Any advice? Any criticism?
As for permissions...
Bazett is from the Prisma Illya universe, which means she's colder and more ruthless and aggressive than her Hollow Ataraxia incarnation. She will probably try to beat up several of the people she encounters. If you want, you can contact me about you think the fight should go.
Now, for permissions pertaining to what you may do to Bazett, I'm a pretty loose person, so almost anything goes.
[OOC] Threadhopping: Yes, as long as you get the other guy(s)'s permission as well. Fourthwalling: Go ahead, but in character, Bazett will think your character is crazy Offensive subjects (elaborate): Again, go ahead. I won't be affected, but in character, Bazett might be and try to beat up your character. Backtagging: I don't mind it at all.
[IC] Hugging this character: You can try it, but she won't react well unless you're Lancer Kissing this character: You can try it, but she probably won't react well even if you're Lancer Flirting with this character: Again, go ahead and try it. Unless you're Lancer, the best you'll get out of her is that she tries to ignore you or shuts you down with a stern comment. At worst, she'll attack your character if you make her angry. Fighting with this character: Of course you can do it. She's quite willing to start the fights if you're not Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Well, she's an aggressive and ruthless ex-mage that hasn't gotten used to being a baseline human yet, so she will probably get many painful lessons. In other words, you can injure her as badly as you want as long as it fits with your character's power level and personality and the situation at hand. Of course, you have to be willing to take a few attacks from her too. Killing this character: Yes. Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: She won't be pleased if she finds out, but you can do it.
