9:19pm: Invasion Game!
Ahoy, me lads and lasses!   Once again, CRF Invasion is upon us, and we've got some fun planned. This year, we're presenting

*drum roll*

Name That Pirate!

Stop by the Dragon & Unicorn to pick up your list of targets.  You'll need to find each person on the list, and let him or her give you clues to his or her piratical identity.  Guess correctly on the first clue, you get three points!  If it takes you two clues, you'll earn two points.  If you have to have all three clues, you'll earn one point.  The game player with the most points at the end of the day is the winner!  Thrills!  Excitement!  Fabulous prizes!

We can't wait to see you all!

6:07pm: New book!
I just have to put the word out - my friend, Faith Hunter, has a new book that hit shelves today! It's the second in her Rogue Mage series, and it's called Seraphs.

"Living among humans in a post-apocalyptic ice age, neomage Thorn St. Croix has learned to count on her friends, but she's lost count of her enemies. She is a source of both fear and fascination for the people of Mineral City: Her powers can save them from the forces of evil, but also attract demon spawn and succubae. And fighting on her own turf nearly gets Thorn and those she holds dear killed.

But Thorn's ultimate test awaits deep under the snow-covered mountains beyond the village, where an imprisoned, fallen seraph desperately needs her help. There, hidden in the hellhole, the armies of Darkness assemble to ensure this subterranean rescue will be Thorn's final descent."

The first book in the series is Bloodring.

Both books are fabulous, and different, and I highly recommend them to readers of dark fantasy.

(And yes, I'll be crossposting all over the place. *grin*)

I'm so proud of my wonderful crew...some of them have started collecting booty for their ship.

You make a captain's heart swell, that you do.
