Angry Pepper

Ok for years I thought this was a Mexican restaurant. It is not! They have a couple of Mexican items on the menu like Ahi Tuna tacos & a Big Ass Burrito but their focus is smoked meats. The bonus part is it's located right on the water in Madeira Beach. We were lucky to catch the sunset the night we stopped by. And like most beach restaurants/bars it's all open air and has that awesome tiki hut atmosphere. We stated with the Smoked Fish spread which was awesome and what made it unique was they had capers, onion, jalapeños and of course saltines crackers. We added the "angry" relish and that took it up a heat notch. I had the "PEPPER'S FAMOUS BEEF BRISKET" with the black beans & rice & Broccoli salad as the sides. The meat wasn't the "melt in your mouth" level I was hoping for but the flavor was great and it was very tender. I loved the broccoli salad, it was very flavorful and thick, unlike any kind I'd had before. My wife did the Ahi Tuna Tacos and loved them. The cool thing was the tacos came with hot sauce, soy sauce & and a wasabi aoli. The tuna was rare and had been sesame coated. Great flavor. The bartenders and staff were super friendly and brought the food out quick.

If I could give the Brisket 10 Stars I would! Our Server was Fantastic. Parking a little difficult (park at Publix or the American Legion) Ahi Tuna Appetizer was. great portion but could have used a Propper sear and would have preferred it to be sliced thinner, but the flavors were Fantastic!! Baked beans & White Mac n cheese - nothing Special, but ok. Apparently we were So Hungry We dug right in and I forgot to snap a photo. I'll update next time.

Fun spot with partial water views and really good food! The bottle caps were amazing (and hot)! The BBQ platter was good and definitely try the Mac n cheese.

We've been here at least 3 times now and are never disappointed. The food is delicious. The staff are so kind and helpful. I can't wait to bring my parents here because I know they'll love it. We had the nachos, jalapeno bottle caps, and the 3 meat sampler.

We love this local hot spot for great service and food! We walk in and are instantly greeted with smiles from Rosie and Naomi. If we are lucky we can say hello to Troy. You can smell the smoker cooking your food as you sit out back, enjoying the cool breeze from Intercostal waters. Beverages are always cold.. And be careful because when you aren’t looking, you’ll have a fresh drink sitting in front of you because the ladies are on it. Ask for the witches brew their special October drink!

Great place to dine or just hang out. Very cool vibe and decor. The menu is great and the food is delicious ! I had the Smoked Ruben Sandwich and it was properly the best Ruben I have ever had. All of our dished were great! The Burrito must have weighd 1 lb.

Great laid back beachy atmosphere and food. Prices are great along woth the portions. New favorite spot. We got a buffalo chicken sandwich and the Brisket dinner. Cheese curds were amazing for an app.

What a great destination by boat! We had an easy tie up and found a great seat looking over the water with cooling fans. My husband enjoyed a brisket sandwich with the sweet fries and I had a pulled pork sandwich and side salad - a great salad loaded with veggies - crisp and fresh! The sandwiches were more than adequate in the amount of meat and sauces were fun to experiment with (house plus spicy sweet was best for me). Our server Rose was super attentive and friendly, the sandwiches arrived quickly and overall a 5 star experience.
