Brewers Row sits comfortably at the crossroads of Mexican restaurant and bar, offering a laid-back spot on Tacoma’s north side where good food, local brews, and casual hangouts come together. Located on N 26th Street, it’s the kind of place that draws a mix of regulars and newcomers looking for authentic, flavor-forward Mexican dishes alongside a thoughtful selection of drinks.

The atmosphere is easygoing and informal, a neighborhood spot where the service is personal and familiar without feeling over the top. Many come here for a quick bite, whether it’s during a weekday lunch break or a laid-back weekend evening, but there’s a steady flow during happy hour, when beer flights and margaritas pair perfectly with generous plates of street tacos, burritos, and nachos. The vibe balances between approachable and polished, making it suitable for everything from casual work meetings to low-key dinners with friends.

Brewers Row’s kitchen gives special care to the staples—tortillas are notably made with an authenticity that stands out in Tacoma, a detail appreciated by patrons who have traveled through more traditional Mexican food regions. Burritos packed with tender al pastor or carne asada come with classic sides like red rice and pinto beans, filling but never heavy. The street taco platter lets you sample different flavors, while options like the Del Fuego nachos and chorizo verde add layers of spice and depth without leaning too far into gimmicks.

On the drink side, their beer flights provide a snapshot of local craft brews, inviting visitors to sip their way across the Pacific Northwest without leaving the table. Margaritas are a common pairing, balancing out the savory and smoky notes of the food. While coffee isn’t the main draw and has room for improvement, the overall beverage program plays a strong supporting role.

People who appreciate straightforward, no-nonsense Mexican fare with subtle nods to regional authenticity feel most at home here. It’s a spot where families, couples, and friends can comfortably settle in to share food and conversation without pressure. Weekdays around lunch offer a lively but manageable crowd, while weekends bring a more energetic, social feel—especially during happy hour with its approachable deals.

Overall, Brewers Row reflects its Tacoma neighborhood: unpretentious, rooted in tradition but willing to innovate quietly on the menu, and focused on creating a welcoming setting that invites you to stay a little longer for one more taco or another round.

I've been coming here for a few years when my mom's in town and somehow our most recent visit was the best. The kale and sweet potato burrito is delightful, even if you're not a vegetarian. And I love the street tacos. My only consistent dissatisfaction is with the coffee. It's not quite up to the quality of everything else.

Great Mexican food hidden behind the name of Brewers Row. We ordered a few different items and none disappointed! The tortillas make or break a taco and both my wife and I agreed these were by farel the best/most authentic we've tasted at a restaurant since leaving Los Angeles. It was truly a breath of fresh air to order a side of beans and rice and not have the beans covered in some shredded cheese. Brisket tacos were tasty with plenty of flavor and the nachos were delicious. The house margarita was also refreshing and well balanced in my opinion. The green chorizo quesadilla was also no slouch, the flour tortilla was toasty and the chorizo was really good, I wonder where it's sources from because I would certainly buy some for home meals. All in all, I was thrilled to finally find some good Mexican food in the area, we will certainly be back soon.

Brewers Row has been my go-to Mexican spot in Tacoma for years, and it never misses. The food is always so good, the staff is super friendly, and the vibe is casual and cozy. Not to mention their happy hour is one of my favorites- they have generous deals on food AND drinks. I have to give a special shout out the Del Fuego nachos because they are my favorite thing on the menu. Spicy, flavorful, and absolutely massive. I get them almost every time and they still hit just as hard as the first time I tried them (and they are on the happy hour menu too!) If you haven’t been, you’re seriously missing out. This place is a gem!!

A cozy spot. The price point isn't too bad, as the servings are fairly generous - made fresh and served to your table. A lot of delicious options! Foods, drinks, coffees. Indoor and outdoor seating (someone had their dog!), and very clean restrooms.

This place is reliably delicious and the prices are great. We had been there several times and finally tried the breakfast menu today. Everything was great - including a pork belly tostado (with a yummy citrus salad on top), biscuits with chorizo gravy, a fall harvest hash, and an apple burrito. Glad to have this option in the neighborhood.

Really enjoyed the casual ambiance and the seasonal selections! You have to try the nachos Fuego! The green chili stew (essentially Pozole) was delicious and had hearty chunks of meat and hominy. The chips were home made, delicious and plentiful. Burritos and tacos were well constructed and popular with our group. I did wish there was more hot sauce selection, but all in all would definitely come back again!
