From the Highlands to the Underground:
The art of Angie Taylor:
I’m Angie, a Scottish-born multidisciplinary artist – based on the south coast of England, just outside Brighton.

My work is a collision of worlds: the raw energy of Punk, the vibrant irony of Pop Art, and the emotional chaos of Expressionism.

My journey began in Scotland, where I grew up and attended art college, developing a love for raw, unfiltered expression.
I formalized my craft with a degree in Sculpture and Drawing, and later honed my skills in wood-carving during a period living in Jamaica.

But the call of the underground was too strong to ignore. In the 1980s, I moved to London, diving headfirst into the city’s explosive Punk and Indie scenes.
Never satisfied being a spectator, I was an avid creator. I made fanzines, flyers, record covers, and t-shirts that defined the era.

By the late 80s, I DJed in London’s iconic LGBTQ+ venues—Heaven, The Fridge, Turnmills, and FF—using Deluxe Paint on the Amiga to sequence music and create visuals, bridging sound and image long before it was mainstream.
That era of raw, DIY creativity shaped my soul. I then spent years teaching at art colleges, passing on the lessons of form and theory.
But the digital revolution called again. In the 90s, I became a demo artist for Adobe and Apple, an Adobe Certified Expert in After Effects, and an author of books on motion graphics, helping to shape the industry’s future.

Full-time Artist
Today, I bring it all together. The grit of the Scottish punk scene, the rhythm of the London club circuit, the precision of the sculptor, and the innovation of the digital pioneer all collide in my work.
Whether I’m designing a limited-edition t-shirt, creating a Crypto Art piece, or painting an expressionist canvas, I’m channeling decades of cultural history.

You might know me from Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, where I’m lucky enough to have thousands of friends and followers.
Or you might just have stumbled upon my stall at the local market. Either way, you’re looking at the work of someone who has lived the art, not just made it.

I am a full-time artist, supporting my practice by writing books and selling my art as t-shirts, prints, and merchandise. Influenced by Cypherpunk culture.
I am an OG of the Crypto Art movement, with work available as NFTs on various platforms.
Welcome to my world. Let’s make some noise together.
