LEARN MOREIn this online summer intensive course, current and future Latin teachers will read over 200 pages of Latin, rapidly march through the tenses of the indicative mood, acquire a ton of vocabulary, and practice speaking and writing in Latin. We will also discuss the Direct Method and learn how to use spoken Latin in the classroom. -
Latin Teacher Mentorship Year

The options may be chosen on the product pageSpend next school year practicing your Latin and developing your teaching skills alongside fellow teachers, in a group led by one of the Latin Fellows at the Ancient Language Institute. Once a week, we will meet as a group to use Latin actively, troubleshoot issues that come up in the classroom, and discuss the history of Latin pedagogy.
Interested in one-on-one instruction? Looking for a customized course of study? Have a unique schedule that doesn’t fit our normal class schedule? Our one-on-one Tutorials exist in order to meet the needs of any student at any skill level, from Beginner to Expert. We can simply replicate a normal class curriculum in the tutorial, or we can pursue a unique course of study suited to your needs and interests.
Is your child interested in one-on-one Latin instruction? Do you have a particular course of study you’d like him to follow? Have a unique schedule that requires odd meeting times for class hours? Our Tutorials exist in order to meet the needs of upper elementary school through high school students at any Latin skill level. If a regular class won’t work for you for whatever reason, we can design a one-on-one Tutorial to meet your needs.
Looking for ALI’s Latin for Kids programs?
We run three separate Latin tracks for younger students: for elementary, middle, and high school students. Perfect for homeschool families, “flex” classical schools, and anyone looking for tutoring or enrichment for their young student.
It’s time for Latin Camp. The Ancient Language Institute is moving from the internet to the physical world, in partnership with New Aberdeen College. Come join us in July 2026, for a 5-day Latin Immersion Camp, led by some of ALI’s great Latin teachers.
Latin Immersion Camp is designed for Latin students of all experience and ability levels who want to improve their Latin reading and speaking ability.
What You Need to Know
- Classes run on a trimester basis.
- Fall: September – December
- Spring: January – April
- Summer: May – August
- Classes are live, online classes run by ALI’s expert Latin instructors. Learn Latin from anywhere, and benefit from the top-tier coaching and smart, structured guidance of our accomplished Latin Fellows.
- You can skip the semester system. With one-on-one Tutorials, you can set up your own class schedule with an ALI teacher.
- We want to make sure you’re completely satisfied. If you don’t love your first Latin class, we guarantee a 100% refund. After that, in weeks 2 – 4, refunds will be made on a pro rata basis, based on however many class sessions you’ve attended. We cannot issue refunds after the fourth week of class.
