Ana Laura
Full-Stack Software Developer | Game Dev | UI/UX | AI
I'm happy to see you here! I’m always excited to connect, collaborate, and bring ideas to life.
I'm a Software Engineer and I build end-to-end applications, real-time systems, and interactive experiences across web and game development. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and hands-on experience with various technologies. Let’s see what we can create together.

Side Hobbies
I like to:
Create things (be digital, wood, paper, paint, or anything at all), I love the freedom of just creating something.
Play Dota2, Warframe, Marvel Rivals, Repo, STRAFTAT, Peak, Chess, ping-pong, badminton, soccer, mind games, etc.
Be outside in the nature running, swimming, playing, and socializing.
Fav Game: Snail Mail.

Personal Background
I’m originally from Cuba and moved to the U.S. at 13. Spanish is my first language, and growing up bilingual has shaped how I think, adapt, and connect with others.
From a young age, I’ve always been both analytical and creative. I loved math and consistently ranked at the top of my class, competing in academic tournaments as I advanced through school. At the same time, I’ve always enjoyed games and creative problem-solving. When my dad, who is a software engineer, saw this, he told me that games are created with code and that math played a role in making them work. That moment changed how I saw technology. It wasn’t just something I consumed, but something I could use to build things I loved.
Since then, I’ve been driven by curiosity and the desire to create. Whether it’s developing applications, exploring game systems, or learning new technologies, I enjoy diving deep into how things work and turning ideas into something real.

Software Applications
2021 - present
I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida, where I built a strong foundation in software engineering, including data structures, algorithms, systems programming, AI, and VR development. Through both individual and team-based projects, I developed applications such as VR simulations, games, compilers, and middleware systems, strengthening my ability to design systems and solve complex problems across different layers of development.
Beyond my academic experience, I’ve continued to deepen my skills by focusing on real-world software engineering practices. I’ve worked on building and refining full-stack applications, exploring areas such as API design, authentication, database management, and deployment. I’ve also gained experience with debugging and profiling tools, improving performance, and writing more efficient and maintainable code.
More recently, I’ve been expanding into areas like CI/CD, automated testing, and AI integration, with a focus on building scalable, production-ready systems rather than just functional prototypes.
Games
2018 - present
Throughout my academic and personal journey, I’ve stayed interested in game development and found ways to grow my skills both in school and on my own. I’ve worked with Unity, Unreal Engine, and Blender, creating projects in 2D, 3D, and VR.
I’ve tried out many parts of game creation, including player control scripts, complex dynamic pipeline integration, animations, UI design, and working with both URP and HDRP pipelines. I’ve also made and animated 3D models in Blender, then imported and used them inside game engines. I’ve learned how to handle different file formats, test runtime asset loading, and build interactive experiences from the ground up.
Each project has helped me understand more about how games work and how to bring ideas to life.

Web Design
2018 - 2021
I began my journey with a foundation in Web Development. My high-school offered a technical degree program in Web Design through a partnership with NAF Academy, where I learned about logos, mockups, web structure, picture editing, and principles of design. Over those three years of daily hands-on classes, I worked hard and got 4 certifications which include:
-
Visual Design Using Adobe Photoshop
-
Graphic Design & Illustration using Adobe Illustrator CC 2015
-
Web Authoring Using Adobe Dreamweaver CC
-
Introduction to Programming Using HTML and CSS
I later applied these skills in a summer role as a Web Developer at a startup, where I worked with WordPress, Adobe XD, and CSS to bring designs to life and contribute to real-world projects.

Art
2019-2020
On my free time I experimented with acrylics, oils, pyrography, glass & digital art.
In my second year of high-school, I took an AP Art Class. This allowed me to put time into my artistic side, both in class and outside of class. I decided that I liked art but it was too time consuming for me.
