Healthy Women, Stronger Communities

This International Women’s Day, invest in the women bringing health care closer to home.

Across Africa, women are stepping forward as nurses, midwives, and community health workers. With the right training and support, they are transforming the health of their families and communities.

We are Africa-Led & Africa-Based

Amref Health Africa is the continent’s largest African-led health organization. From our headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, we work alongside communities in more than 35 countries to strengthen health systems and expand access to life-saving care.

We know that lasting health change is only possible when it’s community-led. Amref Health Africa in Canada supports this work by mobilizing resources, building partnerships, and raising awareness on African health.
