I am getting tickets to 4 DEG shows since my work contract was renewed and I get to stay in Japan longer. And one show for the side band.

I am officially the most metal ALT in northwestern Miyagi.

The singer for DEG has a side band where he sings ballads instead of screams metal. I have a ticket!

More Used Bookstore Shopping Adventures

This time I went back to the store closest to me. I got my aforementioned mags there, but never can find DEG. Until today.

Ugh why don’t I have a DVD player?!

Ok so the Used Bookstore count in this town is as follows:

Wondergoo with decent selection of games and cheap manga, but not music. I get mags I pretend to understand.

Rental only shop that I don’t go to because who rents?

Previously mentioned store with better music

One store I think was more games than all else

One store I am pretty sure is porn and one store I learned the hard way is definitely porn

I guess I could go to Sendai

Sorry haven't been here for ages! Last time I was here I was talking about my obsession with a Japanese metal band. Still obsessed, but we couldn't take pictures.

I am so happy with everything right now. My bosses haven't been on my ass, so I might just be clear for next year!

Every so often an opportunity comes when both public transport and money allow me to go to a concert. Music is in my soul. So when I found a Japanese heavy metal band and decided that the train cost was worth it, I jumped on the chance and the band wagon and bought the ticket.

It was the easiest and hardest buying experience I've had. Easy because all you have to do is register online, receive a QR code in an email, take the code to a convenience store and pay. Hardest because it was all in Japanese.

But I did it and now I am super happy. Thanks Mom for the gift!

This was my morning in Japan: (a few weeks ago)

5:59:45 a.m: *small tremor*
Me: *grumble*
6:00 a.m: *full blown magnitude 7.3 earthquake*
also 6:00 a.m: *my normal alarm goes off*
also 6:00 a.m: *stuff falls to floor and makes loud noise*
Me: ALL RIGHT!! WTF, I’M AWAKE!!

Sorry for the lag. Adventures have slowed down with school work kicking in and cold temps.

Plus I am saving money to follow my new obsession, Dir en Grey. Holy crap it's amazing.

Without further ado, Matsushima

What was unnerving was that when you looked into the pond, the reflection didn't indicate depth.

Oh here is a random photo of what I found on my desk last month.
