Surprise, I'm alive.

What's it been since I posted an actual entry? Three years? Oh well. Um, I guess a summary of the last three years is in order? BULLETPOINTS = VERY YES?

-I now live in Indianapolis, IN
-I'm 22, though apparently I still look like a loli highschooler.
-I'm a former computer technician, and I specialized in production and malware removal. I can fix shit up good, yo.
-I still haven't attended school, but I will be taking the SATs in November. Hopefully I can blow my score out of the water, get a scholarship, and go to school. Also, I'm studying for the CLEP tests, in order to skip as much of the BA degree as I can. I will be studying astrophysics.
-I'm currently an office clerk at a grocery store. Whoo, prestigious.
-I have short hair now!
-I live by myself, and have for the most part for the last three years.
-I don't date, as for the past few years I've been pretty sure I'm asexual.
-My Japanese is much better, though I need to seriously finish it up and become fluent. Especially as I'm studying both French and Spanish as well right now.
-I'm not really in any fandoms at the moment, dabbling in and out of YGO, Digimon, and Criminal Minds. My focus is so on studying right now that I don't have time or energy for fandom stuff in addition to work.
-Have a historical novel idea that I'm planning to write for NaNoWriMo this year.
-Um... I guess that's it?

I'm going to try and update more from now on, but... You know. I'm still me and all.

What Do You Look Like? meme!

Fun, fun~

I went to a PARTY yesterday. Y'all can gasp now. Y'all can also gasp that I was actually social. Sort of. A little bit. XD

And I got shot in the leg with a firework! Not much, though. XD And I didn't feel it; no harm done. It was really funny though, since a firework ignitedanother dud firework, that then proceeded to randomly shoot off in different directions. We were all watching this crazy firework shoot at a passing pickup truck, and didn't even notice it had turned back towards us until it went off again. XD Adventure!

Met a very awesome girl named Livali, and she, her sister, and I all goofed off the rest of the party. And giggled at a firework called a 'color ball'. Now what's NOT funny about that? And I could make a 'Wee Willies' joke here, but I don't think anyone would get it.

Um, I made new icons for Moulin Rouge. Hence what my new default is. XD

That's just about everything even semi-important.

So, am I the only person who, when reading the subject lines of such eloquent spam messages as '3 more on your willy!' think, 'Yeah, I see your three and raise you six and an ipod'?

Then I giggle about the usage of 'raise'.

Yeeeeeeeeeah. I probably shouldn't post the inner workings of my brain any more. XP

Okay, I finally defeated the Turkish coffee today. Hurraaaaaaaaaay.

You'd think this stuff would be easy to make, reading the instructions. Combine water, coffee, and sugar into your ibrik (which is a fancy little pot used for making coffee this way.) set it on heat, wait for it to foam, take it off the heat and stir until the foam goes down, repeat four times omitting the stirring down the foam the last time, and drink it. Simple enough, right?

Yeah, well, it's not. First I had to figure out what kind of ibrik I had. XD They come in two ounce incriments, I think... 2oz is the smallest, and it goes up who knows how much. I have a four ounce ibrik, which I was able to figure out thanks to some converting between cups and ounces. MATH ARGH. ANd you have to use the amount your ibrik is; in other words, if you have a six ounce ibrik, you can't make only two ounces of coffee.

But anyway, for every two ounces of water you have you need to put in a heaping teaspoon of coffee and a teaspoon to two teaspoons of sugar, depending how you like it. Fill your ibrik with water to it's little neck, add your sugar... And then the important part.

Okay, the coffee. First, you have to have it in a Turkish grind; otherwise, it won't be fine enough. If you look at coffee grinder machine thingys at the grocery store, the setting after espresso is usually Turkish. So anyway, you should also get an actual Turkish TYPE of coffee too, or the flavor'll be funny.

And when you add the coffee, you don't do level teaspoons... Or even slightly uneven teaspoons. Refer to this very helpful page for good instructions and a pic of how much coffee you need to put in. This is the site that helped me figure out how to make this coffee, and it took me four tries. DX

So anyway, put your coffee on top of the water, and set it on heat. I use about the medium on the stove. Then you stare at your ibrik for like... Five minutes straight. It's really boring. But the moment you turn away, it'll screw itself up, and I speak from experience. XD

So you watch it until it starts foaming. Boiling is a no-no, and means you need to start over. When it foams to the top of the ibrik, pull your ibrik off the heat, gently stir the foam back down, and set it back on the burner. It'll foam again in much less time. Repeat, then repeat again. The fourth time your ibrik foams, take it off the heat and don't stir. Just set it down for about a half minute for the ground to settle. Pour it into your fancy demitasse cups, unless you don't have them, like I don't... Then just use a normal mug. XD Anyway, pour carefully, and don't worry about pouring all of the stuff out of the ibrik, as the bottom is coffee grinds.

And then drink it! XD *Slurps*

My journal is mostly filled with randomness and wierd comments about whatever's happened, and rarely makes sense. Nor is it interesting. Kinda of like a fluff fic in a fandom you don't read; cute, but you don't care.
