At AME, we’re a team of designers, thinkers, and collaborators working across Western Canada. We believe in strong relationships, good design, and giving people space to grow. Whether you’re just starting your career or building on years of experience, you’ll find opportunities here to contribute, learn, and thrive.

Learning & Development

We believe in continuous learning and support AMErs with opportunities to grow their skills and stay engaged in their work.

  • Annual personal education budget to support professional development
  • In-house training sessions and learning events
  • Access to conferences and industry-related programs
  • Development opportunities tailored to different roles and career stages

Co-op Program

We bring in students seasonally based on postsecondary schedules. Placements are available across all technical design teams and offer hands on project experience alongside full time AMErs.

We regularly work with:

  • Vancouver: British Columbia Institute of Technology, University of British Columbia
  • Victoria: University of Victoria
  • Calgary: University of Calgary
  • Edmonton: University of Alberta

    From Our AME Co-ops

“I was pleasantly surprised by the direct involvement of the co-op/ interns on projects. AME clearly makes a conscious effort to allow interns to contribute to real work, which really sets this company apart from others.” – Aviv Feser

“AME’s work environment motivated me to work hard for the sake of the company, my colleagues and the project and ensured tasks happen to a high level of quality in a reasonable amount of time.” – Hector Spyrou

“With the positive mentoring I’ve received, I feel I am able to make a considerable contribution to any design team while still gaining knowledge and experience with each mechanical system.” – Carter Smith

    Career Progression

Career paths at AME are flexible and guided by interest, performance, and collaboration. Many AMErs start as Mechanical Designers and move into Project Management roles, with paths leading toward technical leadership or business development focused roles such as Associate or Principal.

Promotion opportunities are ongoing, with internal mobility reviewed regularly throughout the year.
