We are deeply grateful for the recognition our beloved Mexican Ambassador Carolina Zaragoza has granted us. We are also very thankful to our dear Cultural Consul Luz Martínez. We appreciate other members of the Mexican Embassy for joining us at our celebration event, The Blue Mist 2024. @embamexirlanda It has been an especially moving night as we are celebrating our tenth anniversary.
Ten years ago, we began dancing in Ireland. We held our migrant hearts in our hands. We stomped to the rhythm of Mexican sounds. We expressed it through our skirts. Our artistic work spreads a message of love for dance and Hispanic art. We build bridges by communicating through our art. We connect with thousands of people who identify with our Latin American culture. This culture is characterized by its multicultural influence contained in its historical passages. It has resulted in our beautiful Mexican folklore, standing as a testament to its unique intercultural nature.
Agradecemos profundamente el reconocimiento que nuestra querida Embajadora Mexicana Carolina Zaragoza nos ha otorgado. Así también estamos muy agradecidos con nuestra querida cónsul de cultura Luz Martínez y demás miembros de la Embajada Mexicana por habernos acompañado en nuestro evento de celebración The Blue Mist 2024.
Ha sido una noche especialmente emotiva ya que estamos celebrando nuestro décimo aniversario. Hace diez años comenzamos a bailar en Irlanda tomando nuestro corazón de migrantes en la mano, empezamos a zapatear el sonido mexicano y expidiéndolo con nuestras faldas. Nuestra labor artística difunde un mensaje de amor a la danza y al arte hispano. Construimos puentes comunicándonos por medio de nuestro arte uniéndonos con miles de personas que se identifican con nuestra cultura latinoamericana que la caracteriza por su influencia multicultural contenida en sus pasajes históricos y que ha dado como resultado nuestro hermosos folklore mexicano quedando como testimonio de su naturaleza intercultural única. @embamexirlanda

Best Dance Group AMDIE (Latin American Community) Cork Saint Patrick’s Parade, 2022. We received the best dance group award for the third time. We are deeply grateful to Ireland for the opportunity to display and share the traditional dance of Latin America with the people of Cork.
AMDIE (Anahuac Mexican Dance Ireland) is a dance community group based in Cork, set up in 2014, with the purpose of enjoying Latin American traditional dance and music. AMDIE works for the integration of its community into Irish life by joining festivals and cultural activities. Their first parade was in 2019 and in 2022 They were awarded for Best Dance Group in Cork Saint Patrick’s Parade. Every year AMDIE invites all latinos by heart to join them in the Saint Patrick’s Parade. Their community is formed with participants from all over where “the Latin language” is spoken, including Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Italy, Spain, France & more. “The Latin language” has brought so many countries and cultures together including Ireland, creating connections between each others, they are very proud & happy to be part of Cork & Irish Traditions.

Cork Multicultural Day
In May 2018 AMDIE had the amazing opportunity to dance as a diverse dance group in the annual cork multicultural day which was held in the city hall. AMDIE performed traditional folk dance from Mexico and Salsa from Latin America. AMDIE was thrilled to receive the third place award for best dance perfomance.
