AMCap is a still and video capture application with advanced preview and recording features. It is a Desktop application designed for computers running Windows 7 SP1 or later. Most Video-for-Windows and DirectShow-compatible devices are supported whether they are cheap webcams or advanced video capture cards.
This version is a whole new application with many improved and new features including:
- Preview and recording from DV sources
- MPEG-2 preview and recording enhancements
- Optional real-time compression (using installed compressors) while recording video
- AVI, WMV and MP4 container formats (compatibility depends on the capture format)
- Setting persistence between sessions (e.g. color space, output size, video standard, etc.)
- Improved analog tuner support for both TV and radio broadcasting
- Still capture by pressing a key or possibly an hardware trigger
- Periodic snapshots for automatic still capture

- stillcap.exe a console application that allows to easily take snapshots from a script, an application, a Command prompt, the task scheduler, etc.
