With extensive experience in residential, commercial, and corporate development, both nationally and internationally, Andrew Borek has guided some of the firm’s largest and most complex projects. As Managing Partner, Andrew leads business development and implements the firm’s service strategies and expansion. Andrew is responsible for day-to-day operations and working closely with all members of AMAA and their clients. Since entering his role in 2013, Andrew has directed the expansion of AMAA’s project portfolio and workforce fivefold. Andrew received both his Bachelor and Master of Art degrees in Architecture from Tulane University. He is a licensed architect in New York and New Jersey, as well as a LEED certified professional. Andrew is a member of AIA, BOMA, and ASNT.

As Director and Chief Engineer of AMAA, Young Suh has steered the firm to be a foremost provider of Special Inspection services. As leader of the engineering process, Young is responsible for the development of the firm’s engineers. Additionally, Young manages inspection projects and coordinates with project members to complete jobs expeditiously. Young is an ICC Certified Master of Special Inspections, certified to perform structural inspections, and is familiar with all aspects of mechanical design, installation, and inspection. Young is a licensed professional engineer in New York State, a certified building commissioning professional, as well as a Reinforced Concrete, Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, and Structural Masonry special inspector. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Abdolreza Jafari serves as Director and Manager for AMAA Material Testing services. He directs the technical activities of the laboratory and ensures that all testing activities comply with AMAA goals and ASTM/AASHTO standards and procedures. Abdolreza provides technical review and analysis of all material testing work to guarantee accurate results. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus from the City College of New York and is a licensed professional engineer in New York and Connecticut. He is certified as an ICC Soils Special Inspector, ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector, ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector, ICC Spray-applied Fireproofing Special Inspector, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I, ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector, ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician, ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 1, and ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 1.
