Mascots to Married: A Wolfpack Love Story

Once upon a time, they played the Pack’s iconic married mascot couple. Now they’re planning weddings of their own. Meet the two Mr. and Ms. Wuf duos who found their forever at NC State.

Forever Golden

It was 1972 when Larry Watson first stepped foot on NC State’s campus as an 18-year-old straight out of high school. Now he’s preparing for the Golden Grads Forever Club reunion this May for alumni who have reached their 50-year graduation anniversaries.

In the fall of 1999, 18 men stepped onto the campus of NC State University. They didn’t arrive as a group, but through orientation, shared classes, the African American Symposium and the inevitable grind of freshman year, they found one another.
