I can produce the alpha stair .sda design but when I transfer to Alphcam the parts, it can run, but no nc output is produced to transfer to CNC machine. The .cnc file is 0. I have used the program for 25 years and now that new operating systems (Windows 8 & 10) are standard on new computers and I need advice.

I believe this issue is related to the file permissions in Windows 8 and Windows 10. If you're trying to create a file while you are on Windows 8/10 and the software was launched without Administrator access, then the CNC file will always be 0 just because the software doesn't have writing permissions.
To overcome this issue, run the software as Administrator and it will export the correct CNC file.

This is an error when using various applications. The official developers of the application recommend using the support section to get help with the program.
The dongle key is actually a HASP key that connects to the serial port of your computer. To enable it in the Windows environment while using Parallels Desktop, use the online guide provided by the developer of Parallels. The virtual machine needs to be turned off to use access settings. Once you make the adjustments, the key will be available in Windows. Install the driver then you can install and use AlphaCAM.
AlphaCAM 2D mill will never work in Windows 7 or 8. Windows XP is more likely to be able to run this software through the compatibility setting, but for Windows 7 or higher you will need to acquire a new version of the product from the developer's website.
Please note that these applications are pretty expensive and you should invest in one only if you are working the the same field.
I tried grabbing a saw from the library and filling in the information, but the OK button is still grey and it won't let me out of the window. What can I do? I don't want to quit AlphaCAM and lose all my work.

Unfortunately, if the OK button is grey, you need to close the AlphaCAM application. Before closing the software try saving your work using Ctrl + S key combination. After that, remove the program from your computer and then install it again. If you still need assistance, I recommend you to contact the support team.
