Through the Alpha Pay Online application, Alpha Bank cardholders can authenticate e-commerce purchases using biometric capabilities or other security keys available at the device level. For security reasons, to validate their identity through the Alpha Pay Online application, cardholders must register using the last six digits of their card number, the mobile phone number registered with the Bank, and the password declared in relation to the Bank. To complete registration successfully, an SMS will be sent to the cardholder’s registered phone number to validate the registration process.

When an ecommerce transaction is made, the cardholder will receive through Alpha Pay Online a Push Notification to inform about the e-commerce transaction that needs to be authorized. The customer will tap on push notification which will redirect to the screen with transaction details where the cardholder have the option to cancel the transaction with a click on “CANCEL” button or will authenticate the transaction with a click on “CONFIRM” button.

Even though the client doesn`t have active the Push notification /will not click on Push Notification and will go directly to the Alpha Pay Online icon he will be directed to the screen with transaction details where he can cancel the transaction with a click on “CANCEL” button or authenticate the transaction with a click on “CONFIRM” button.
