SO, after many years on eljay, I've finally decided to go friends only. It's mostly the intarwebs are scary silly things that LJ has been doing, like the new tracking option, and me just being completely unwilling to deal with wank in my journal (though I've been mercifully free of it for the most part), that made me decide go this route.

I just found out that George Carlin died. :(

This makes me so incredibly sad, I've loved him for years, from back when I was a teenager and had just discovered stand-up comedy.

Justin just called me to tell me. We had even burned all of his material he could find to a CD and we listened to it on our road trip while we were on vacation a week ago.

This is so weird.

R.I.P. George.

Merry Christmas (Eve?) kids! I realize it's not actually Christmas yet, but like many of you I doubt I'll have time to post tomorrow.

I've been at my parents' enjoying free foodstuffs for the last couple of days and will eventually head back to my place on boxing day, as I have to work on Thursday and I should really get some groceries. HAHA, I am so lazy.

So, I just realized that my 5 year anniversary on El-to-the-Jay was the 28th of February. Hey, I'm classy, I started my first one back when they still had INVITE codes (thanks psylent777)! I was under 1 million! *throws confetti*

Also, this picture is making me giggle. It's just...I can't deal with the cute. CAN'T DEAL. I am so getting a dwarf hamster when I move out, because they have enough cute in their WHISKERS ALONE TO SAVE THE WORLD. SERIOUSLY.

And yes, when you want a hamster, you want it fast. Obviously. :p

Lemons' Best Pumpkin Muffins EVER.



So here is the recipe for my famous pumpkin muffins. :p This includes a couple of alterations that I made to the original recipe, which is what makes them particularly awesome. ;) IE: it asks for 2 cups of white sugar, but I like to put in half brown. And I added the nutmeg/ginger, but you can pretty much put whatever spices in that you normally put in a pumpkin pie, is my rationale.

I also don't mix things with an electric beater, I do it all by hand with a spatula. I find it's like cake, the less you beat the batter the richer and fluffier the muffins will turn out. :)

In conclusion, BEST MUFFINS EVER. And this recipe makes 2 dozen, sometimes more depending on how much batter to put into each cup. ^_^b

On Tuesday it snowed. A lot. Yesterday I helped shovel said snow, and today I am sore. Yesterday I also made pumpkin muffins which are, as usual, delicious and made the kitchen nice and warm. Later I will post pictures of snow and the recipe for teh muffins because I love you all that much.

So I had recently been toying with the idea of starting a Grissom/Sara community, but instead I've become a co-mod of velocityofsound's comm (which is made of more awesome than mine would have been) bestkeptprivate, devoted to everything Grissom and/or Sara, as well as anything related to Billy Petersen or Jorja Fox. :)

IT WILL BE AMAZING SO GO JOIN. There will be all sorts of challenges, from graphics to fic to a kickass MS Paint challenge (up now)! And I'll be putting together a community fanmix once things start going, and there'll be discussions now and (of course) when the new season starts in September. So join!
