I got the cutest little Legolas in the mail, complete with Santa hat! He is just adorable (though I probably shouldn't say that out loud about the elven prince assassin that he is). Thank you so much for sending him to me! Lil' Pip and I have our tickets already for the midnight showing IN ONLY TWO MORE NIGHTS!!!! I think I'm gonna take little Legolas with us!

Anybody out there looking forward to The Desolation of Smaug? (That sounds odd, "anticipating" a bit of desolation, doesn't it??) I haven't quite got my head wrapped around the fact that Bard looks a tremendous amount like Will Turner, and how I would've at least given him a full beard or maybe no mustache at all if I was working at character/costume design. Hopefully there'll be enough difference once we get to see him that I'll be straightened out....

itstonedme has written a short piece of Bard/Legolas that gives a glimpse into what might be coming up in the near future. I love the way she makes me forget I'm not actually living the story while her words are wrapping me up in the experience of it all.

I have Hobbit tickets in my hand for the first midnight showing!!! *INSERT MAJOR SQUEE HERE*
Will be spending the night in a sleeping bag on the floor in Pip's college dorm room afterward. At least for one night. Possibly more. Depends on whether or not I can get up from beforementioned floor in the morning while she's out taking an exam. (It's a bit of a stretch for my brain to remember Pip was in elementary school, playing with Barbies and riding in the backseat of the van, when this all began. Now she's a college co-ed and driving my car!)
Second childhood, here I come!
Wish me luck....

Here's the only picture I have of my front door--from a couple of years ago when Mrs. Skeleton grew a couple of rose-colored pasties and answered for me!
If you're out trick or treating in the LJ community tonight and would like a treat from me, please stop by and leave a comment! I have limited internet access at the moment, but some writing time, so between the two I hope I can deliver!
(Haven't forgotten those of you who are still waiting for treats from last time--I'm working on those now as well!)
Everybody be safe and have fun! I'll deliver your "Treats" ASAP, probably this weekend or as I can get access to the web--the house I'm staying in said it had internet, but even the wonderful Yes Dear can't get it to work, so I'm at the restaurant typing while my dinner cooks.
