Matt Toresco is a leading expert on health literacy, healthcare policy & patient advocacy. Matt researches, develops, delivers & implements effective campaigns & corporate identities focused on patient centricity & patient advocacy. He also provides his clients with programs to support their strategic planning, executive level initiatives, account management processes, learning and development, & custom market research to maximize their impact in driving customer and patient focused initiatives.
Matt also is the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate: Supporting the Patient Voice, a syndicated annual report of the US and Ex-US patient advocacy community. This research helps the entire healthcare community understand the impact they have on the lives of patients & caregivers while the findings also assist in driving population health initiatives to elevate patient care.

Professor of Gastroenterology at Manchester and Northern Care Alliance and Clinical Lead of the National Intestinal Failure Reference Centre. He was involved in helping to develop the ‘In Their Shoes@ App for Short Bowel Syndrome and Intestinal Failure and has subsequently evaluated the App amongst multi-disciplinary colleagues using pre and post App experience, focus groups and in-depth qualitative interviews. He is also the co-chair of the virtual nutrition support team for the national patient group PINNT(Patients on Intravenous and Naso-gastric Nutrition Treatment) and has been medical advisor to the northwest section of Crohn’s and Colitis UK.

Jason Harley is a senior business leader with extensive experience across large pharma (Sanofi, AZ, Novartis, Roche), biotech start-ups and generics companies.
He has a record of driving performance across a range of global, regional and country marketing and commercial roles.
Therapeutic experience includes respiratory, immunology, bones and joint disease, neurosurgery, diabetes and cardiology. Geographic expertise spans Europe with country expertise in UK and Eastern Europe.
20 years pharma experience in driving launches of blockbuster brands, specializing in injectables and inhalation devices, backed up with 8 years of patient facing clinical experience from the NHS and 5 years working in Public Services Audit in the UK.

Emma is a Consultant Oncology Pharmacist at the Royal Marsden, past Chair of the British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA), and and Chair of the Standards Task Force for the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP).
Emma’s specialist clinical areas are RCC, melanoma and GI cancers, and systemic anticancer treatment in general. She also have a keen interest in global health and in particular improving access to cancer medicines in low- and middle-income countries. Emma has been an avid supporter of A Life in a Day since its inception.

Mark Duman MRPharmS brings over 30 years of clinician, management consultant and patient perspectives to the healthcare, life sciences and digital health sectors. Working in the NHS, The King’s Fund, the BBC, and as a Founder of the Patient Information Forum, Mark endeavours to make healthcare more person-centric. As the Chief Patient Officer for MD Healthcare, he works with organisations such as AstraZeneca, Diabetes UK, Google Health, Innovate UK, JnJ, Macmillan Cancer Support, Microsoft, Pfizer, Novartis and Siemens Healthineers to harness digital health, develop markets and improve patient engagement.

Trishna Bharadia, BA(hons), MFPM(hon) is a multi-award winning health advocate and patient engagement consultant who also lives with several chronic conditions, including multiple sclerosis. Based in the UK, she works nationally and internationally with multiple stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem, including the pharma industry, digital health companies, academia, clinicians and charities/patient associations to better embed the patient voice throughout the healthcare journey and medicines development lifecycle.
She is a patron/ambassador for several health- and disability-related organisations, is a Visiting Lecturer on patient engagement at King’s College London university and sits on numerous steering groups, committees and governance boards.
Particular areas of interest include good patient engagement practice and diversity issues in healthcare.
Among her various accolades, Trishna has been awarded honorary membership to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (Royal Colleges of Physicians) and in 2022 was named a PharmaVoice100 honoree, both for her outstanding contributions to the life sciences industry. She has also received a Points of Light Award from the UK Prime Minister’s Office in recognition of her work with patient communities.

Dr. Barber has been employed as an Associate Professor and Honorary Consultant Endocrinologist at University of Warwick and University Hospitals and Warwickshire (UHCW)since 2010.
Dr. Barber has a research background in the genetic and metabolic features of Polysystic Ovary Syndrome. His work led to the award of DPhil from the University of Oxford and the award of the prestigious ‘Society for Endocrinology Clinical Prize Lecture and ‘University of Oxford Medical Sciences Divisional Research Prize’ in 2009. Dr.Barber has published over 130 papers, including a recent paper in the Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology on ethnic-specific cut-points for obesity.
Dr Barber is an international speaker and presenter on media topics relating to human metabolism and Obesity. As Clinical Lead for the Obesity service at UHCW, Dr. Barber combines clinical duties with clinical and translational research.
