INTRODUCTION
Alameda Hacks is designed to help you learn fast, ship real projects, and leave with portfolio-ready work, not just a weekend prototype.
Use this resource hub to find tools, docs, and communities that will support you from idea to final demo.
TOOLS & TECHNOLOGIES
During Alameda Hacks, participants are free to use any technology stack that best fits their idea. This includes web and mobile development, AI and machine learning frameworks, game engines, hardware projects, and low-code or no-code platforms.
Participants are encouraged to use modern frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and documentation to move quickly from concept to MVP. Whether you are building a full-stack application, experimenting with generative AI, or creating a prototype, choose tools that allow for rapid iteration and clear demonstration.
INSPIRATION
If you are unsure what to build, consider exploring open datasets, real-world problem prompts, or challenges you have personally encountered. Strong hackathon projects typically begin with a clearly defined problem and a focused solution.
As you review successful projects from past events, look for common patterns such as a clear problem statement, a limited but thoughtful feature set, and a concise demo that tells a coherent story about the project’s impact and purpose.
CONTACT & SUPPORT
Need help, teammates, or a sanity check on your idea? The fastest way to get support is via the Alameda Hacks Discord server.
You can also reach the organizing team by email (alamedahacks@gmail.com) for logistics questions that are not time-sensitive.
PERKS & PARTNER OFFERS
All Alameda Hacks participants receive access to partner-provided tools, platforms, and learning resources that can be used during and after the hackathon.
These offers are optional, but they are recommended for teams that want to continue developing their projects after submissions close, refine their ideas, or explore additional learning opportunities.
