Airplane Mode Timer: An app that allows time-based configuration of Airplane Mode on your phone. Airplane mode can be activated for a specified time, then automatically turn off.
FEATURES:
—This app turns on Airplane Mode on your device, then turns it off after a specified time
—Optional delay (so you can fall asleep on the train and not worry about remembering to turn Airplane Mode off)
—After the timer counts down, the app will automatically turn Airplane Mode off, allowing you to once again receive calls and data.
—Pebble Notifications (Coming in next release!)
TIMELINE OF EVENTS:
Usage is incredibly simple.
Instructions:
1) Upon launch, you are presented with a dialog.
2) Enter how many minutes you want to keep your wireless signals off.
2a) Optional: Enter a number of minutes to delay Airplane Mode from activating (so you can fall asleep on the train and not worry about activating it when you hit the tunnel)
3) Tap "Go!"
The app will then count down (using a notification in your menubar) and when it hits zero, it will automatically turn off airplane mode, allowing you to receive data and calls again.

—Pebble Smartwatch integration in NEXT RELEASE! (Currently works if you push all phone notifications to Pebble, but full integration is coming soon).
—Scheduling/Recurring timers (daily, weekly, hourly) for Airplane Mode
*NOTE: Pebble integration is taking some extra time because of the new Pebble SDK v2.0. I've decided to push forward and integrate with the new SDK, which is not backward-compatible with the old SDK, rather than continue with my SDK 1 version of the app.*
A little background: when you are in the subway, or elsewhere underground, your cell phone will search for service until it finds a wireless signal.
However, this causes an INCREDIBLY large drain on your battery, and your phone won't actually get a signal until you resurface above ground.
Airplane mode turns off the wireless on your phone, preventing your phone from searching for service and thus saving your battery.
