For Ardupilot and PX4

Single USB-C connection

Camera control and EXIF geotagging is  done via one single USB-C connection and optional trigger detection connection. This is huge step forward from our previous solutions! No need for expanders, or other devices. Everything is done via single USB-C connection.

Full camera control

TAG-E provides full camera control via a single USB-C connection, including triggering, exposure adjustments, and remote activation of all camera buttons (like MENU or arrows) over USB. Entering MENU, navigating through all items, playing recorded images / videos. Control of: ISO | IRIS | S.SPEED | EXP.CORR | EXPOSURE MODE | AF ACTIVATION | AF MODE and many more.

EXIF geotagging

Extended EXIF geotagging is a key feature of TAG-E. It embeds all essential data from the drone ecosystem directly into the metadata of JPG images on the camera’s SD card at the exact moment of capture. This significantly helps user to save time during data preparation for stitching or any other practical use of captured images.

GPS | RTK position
Geotagging of highly precise position into GPS EXIF tag of each JPG file in camera SD card. Instead of standard Mavlink input, TAG-E supports multiple optional GPS inputs EMLID ERB or NMEA.
Camera ATTITUDE
Geotagging of camera attitude is essential for easy stitching of capture data. TAG-E will capture and calculate accurate camera attitude (Roll Pitch Yaw) based on drone frame attitude and gimbal attitude if used. All saved directly in EXIF of each JPG photo.
GPS date & time
TAG-E can optionally save GPS time and date into the EXIF of JPG files. This information may be handful for postprocessing of image position data.
RANGEFINDER information
TAG-E will save also actual laser distance from photographed object (or other direction, based on rangefinder placement) for each photo. This geotag is frequently used for inspections of concrete structures or wind turbines for precise crack dimensions calculation.
Custom label
User can also easily define custom text data to be saved in metadata of photos. This feature is used for user friendly organization of JPG files and also archival purposes.
Input precision data
TAG-E may optionally geotag also GPS precision (hdop, vdop, fix type) and IMU accuracy for stitching software. This data helps to speed up stitching process and bring more precisional outputs.

Video geotagging

This new feature is generating subtitles for your movies recorded during the flight. Subtitles contains position of the movie frame and also camera attitude, laser distance measurements and etc. Subtitles are saved with the video in the camera SD card.

PPS synchronization

The PPS input brings a new level of time synchronization, enabling precise UTC time reception. With a PPS-capable GPS/RTK, you can achieve exceptional RTK geotagging accuracy with sub-centimeter precision!
