Developed in the Microsoft .NET Runtime Environment, Airfox uses the Gecko Engine also seen in some well-known browsers such as Firefox, Waterfox, Pale Moon. Some advanced features such as Reliable Download Manager are not available due to restrictions from the GeckoFX runtime.
