Welcome to the Google Cloud Next AI Hackathon! Get ready to unlock the power of low/no code generative agents in Vertex AI Agent Builder. Combine your creativity with Google Cloud to change the world as we know it. These innovative AI companions are poised to revolutionize industries and reshape the way we work, learn, and create. No matter what your day job, passion, or hobby is, generative agents offer boundless potential to revolutionize your work, learning, and creativity

We know you have a thousand things to see, do, and learn at Google Cloud Next, so in this hackathon, participants won’t be building end-to-end agents from scratch but rather dreaming up an innovative idea and crafting the prompts required to train your agent. We anticipate it to take you approximately 60-90 minutes to ideate and complete your submission. Join us and harness the power of generative agents to change the world

What to Build

Use the Studio to come up with an idea for a generative agent. You must provide an overview of what the agent will do and for whom it will be useful. Start a generative app in Vertex AI Agent Builder and construct the Goal and Instructions for your agent by creating a (1) playbook.

It's simple to use Vertex AI Agent Builder's UI; no need to deploy anything or hook up APIs for this hackathon. We expect ideation to submission to take less than 90 minutes.

What to Submit
  1. Text description that includes a summary of your Generative Agent idea (at least 1 paragraph)
  2. Overview of why this Agent would be useful and to whom (at least 1 paragraph)
  3. Summary of Additional Requirements: any data, APIs, functions, etc. requirements you expect you would need to build out a full featured application for this agent
  4. Screenshot(s) of the Goal and Instructions fields from Vertex AI Agent Builder playbook you would use to begin building out this agent
  5. At least one member of the team must be physically present in the Coding Hub within Innovators Hive to demo the Project to judges during the Judging Period. Presentations must include a summary of points 1-4 above. Projects with no demonstration will only be eligible to win Participation Prizes. In person demos should be no more than 2 minutes.

Good luck and happy building!
