Sexual and reproductive health and rights include the right to have control over and make free and responsible decisions about one’s sexuality, including sexual and reproductive health, free from coercion, discrimination and violence.

The gender transformative approach actively examines, questions and changes the rigid gender norms and power imbalances that favour boys and men over girls and women.

Gender stereotypes are preconceived ideas that attribute certain socially and culturally determined characteristics and roles to people on the basis of gender.
