“My inspiration for curating this program comes from ‘Sankofa,’ a concept and symbol passed down from Akan culture, an ethnic group from West Africa. Sankofa teaches the importance of returning to the knowledge of the past in order to better imagine the future; hence the theme of the 20th edition of the festival: Learning from yesterday to better build tomorrow,” explains Amai D. Moïse, Director of Culture & Talent at STUDIO ZX and curator of the programming for the 20th edition of the Trans Pride Festival.
