In order to alleviate the pain of so many hiatus posts crowding the OOC comm and your friends list, it was suggested that we create a "Hiatus Post," that is, a post where people comment to list current hiatuses. This is that post, and as of September 1, 2009, it is in effect.
As this is an official hiatus post, this means if the hiatus is meant to be taken by the mods to be part of your Activity, a comment needs to be made here. Anything posted to the comm without a notice here will not be considered official and not be factored into the Activity Check at the end of the month.
This means players should no longer post their hiatus notices in the OOC comm or wehavecoconuts (the crack comm).
If you feel the need to post your own explanatory notice about your hiatus, please do so in your character's journal,probably preferably as a "Date Out of Order" post so that it doesn't flood the community's friend lists (thus defeating much of the point of a hiatus page). Then when people note that you are missing, if they don't check this page right away, they can easily find it at the top of your character's journal. Or, you can contact them by livejournal PM, an out-of-character comment in their character's journal, or by IM or email if it is listed.

When you come off of hiatus, please comment back here to let us know your hiatus is over!
Hiatus notices will stay up until the end of the month/expiration, and will be screened once they have expired. Please do not delete! In the interests of keeping this section neat and tidy, please do not spam it with comments to the players on hiatus. If you wish to contact them, PM their journals.
