ADB AppControl

ADB AppControl is a Windows program that uses the ADB protocol to allow you to control a number of your Android device's settings from your PC. Among the various actions that ADB AppControl allows you to perform you will find the option to uninstall pre-installed apps on your device that you would not otherwise be able to remove.

Enable developer options

To use ADB AppControl, you will first need to enable USB Debugging from the Developer Options on your Android device. After doing so, the first time you connect your device to your PC via USB, you will be prompted to accept the connection. Once you have completed this step, you will have access to your apps.

Install and uninstall apps at your leisure

ADB AppControl can see all the apps installed on your Android device, both user and system apps. If, instead of the package name, you want to see the icon and the name of the app, you will have to install an APK file of about 1MB in size that acts as a bridge. This file is in the program folder, and you will have to install it on your device.

Back up directly to your PC

By clicking on an app, you can copy the name, copy the package name, remove or add permissions, clear user data, create a backup, uninstall, or disable it. Backups are created in APK format or, in the case of splits, in APKS format. So, with the help of ADB AppControl, you can back up all your apps in a few clicks. What cannot be copied is the user data of each app, as this requires root permissions and the use of other apps, such as Swift Backup.

View the screen of your smartphone or tablet

ADB AppControl also offers the ability to control the screen and buttons of your device. To see the device's screen, you have to install scrcpy, which will even allow you to record everything you do on the device. Finally, you can also send commands through the console, including fastboot.

Some of ADB AppControl's features are only available with the paid version. For example, automated bloatware removal can only be done with this version.
