Courses cover diverse topics about the ADA, disability rights, and access in areas including: emergency preparedness, media, transportation, recreation, voting, digital accessibility, and other disability laws.

Some courses provide Certificates and Continuing education credit (CEU). Also, some courses are approved for specific credentials, such as: Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC); Certified Employment Support Professional™ (CESP); and ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP).

Foundations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
(formerly ADA Basics)

Description: This course was revised, updated, and expanded from the ADA Basic Building Blocks web course to a foundational learning experience. Thus, the web course name has been changed to: Foundations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) (also known as ADA Foundations). This comprehensive web course is designed to increase your knowledge and understanding of the core concepts about the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA). This web course has been developed to help you learn about the important concepts of the ADA and to think about inclusive solutions for people with disabilities in the workplace, state and local government programs, and private businesses.

Credit: Certificate, CRCC, ACTCP, CESP – if pass Post Test (80% score).

Estimated Time: 7 hours.

ADA Title II Tutorial

Description: An on-line tutorial to provide you with the basic principles and core concepts of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This tutorial discusses the purpose of the ADA using a civil rights framework; summarizes what is required under Title II of the ADA; and explains each nondiscrimination requirement with its defenses or limitations under Title II of the ADA

At Your Service: Welcoming Customers with Disabilities

Description: Discover the best practices for effectively working and interacting with people who have disabilities. Each topic contains information, as well as case studies and self-tests to help you apply what you’ve learned.

Credit: CEU, CRCC – if pass Post Test (80% score).

Estimated Time: 4 hours.

Banking for All: Access, ADA and Disability

Description: Financial institutions and other financial service providers will get information to ensure their institution and services are inclusive and welcoming to people with disabilities. The eight(8) modules in this course can be used as a series or as stand-alone to provide information on the basic concepts of disability rights and responsibilities. Each module has a pre-test and post-test for participants to test their knowledge. 

Cost: Free.

Credit: None.

Estimated Time: 1 hour per module.

Federal Court Concepts

Description: A free online module introducing the structure of the American Federal court system, types of Federal courts cases, and how to use Federal court decisions in research.

Cost: Free.
