The cover for The Geomagician is simply stunning. And a historical fantasy with paleontology with a bit of magic around it, sounded mighty great. Unlike others I was not dissapointed with the story as I was not expecting an adventure, but more of a scholary setting.

Daughter of Crows is the start of a new series by Mark Lawrence and as could be expected of this author, our main characters don't get an easy life. In a way it reminds me of his Red Sister trilogy. But only a little.
