Why Actions and Stuff PC Is Free on Windows

Windows lets you import external files directly into Minecraft Bedrock. Apple and console platforms block this completely, which is why iOS and console players pay 1690 Minecoins. On your Windows PC, you download the 18.43 MB MCPACK, double-click it, and Minecraft handles everything at zero cost.

MCPACK or APK. Which File Do You Need

Most PC players download the APK by mistake. Here is the difference before you tap anything.

MCPACK is the correct file for Windows.18.43 MB, contains only the resource pack, and imports directly into any existing Minecraft installation with one double-click.

APK is an Android Package file. Windows cannot run APK files. If you download the APK on a PC, nothing will open, and nothing will install.

How to Install Actions and Stuff PC on Windows

Most players get stuck at one of two spots. Either double-clicking the MCPACK does nothing, or the pack imports but does not show in Global Resources. Both are easy to fix, covered right here.

Step 1. Download the MCPACK

Click the download button on this page. The 18.43 MB file saves to your Downloads folder. Do not rename it and do not extract or unzip anything. The file works exactly as downloaded.

Step 2. Import Into Minecraft

Make sure Minecraft Bedrock Edition is fully closed before this step. Double-click the MCPACK file. Minecraft opens automatically and imports the pack. Wait for the import success message. The whole process takes about 10 seconds.

If double-clicking does nothing, right-click the file, select Open With, and choose Minecraft. If Minecraft does not appear in the list, follow the manual install steps below.

Manual Install for Windows

Press Windows + R on your keyboard. Type %appdata% and press Enter. Navigate to Local, Packages, Microsoft. Minecraft UWP, LocalState, games, com. mojang, resource_packs. Copy the MCPACK file into this folder. Open Minecraft and the pack appears in Global Resources automatically.

Step 3. Activate in Global Resources

Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Go to Settings, then Global Resources. Find Actions and Stuff in Available Packs and click the plus icon to move it to Active. Tap the gear icon next to the pack and select your resolution. 32x works best for most PCs.

Step 4. Open Any World

Load any world. Walk around and you will see the difference in the first 10 seconds. Find animals to check mob behavior. Wait for rain to see weather effects.

Full Windows walkthrough with screenshots is in the setup guide.

Which Resolution Should You Pick

All three resolutions include every animation, every mob behavior, and every environmental effect. Nothing gets removed at lower settings. Only texture sharpness changes. If you see lag at any setting, drop one level down, and it fixes performance on almost every PC.

16x. Older and Budget PCs

Best for PCs from 2015 to 2018 or machines with integrated graphics. Every animation runs fully at this setting with stable frame rates.

32x. Most Windows PCs

Best for mid-range PCs from 2019 to 2022 with a dedicated GPU or 8GB RAM. Textures look noticeably sharper than 16x and performance stays smooth. This is the recommended starting point for most players.

64x. High-End PCs and RTX

Best for PCs from 2022 or later with a dedicated GPU and 16GB RAM or more. Actions and Stuff PC pairs well with RTX and ray tracing at this setting. If you record or stream Minecraft footage, this is the one to use.

Do Achievements Still Work on PC

Yes. This is a resource pack, not a mod or behavior pack. It changes visual animation files only. Crafting recipes, mob AI, and achievement tracking are completely untouched. Play a full Survival world while running and earn every achievement normally on Windows.

Official resource pack classification is documented on the Minecraft official site.

Multiplayer and Realms on PC

The pack works in every multiplayer mode that Minecraft Bedrock supports on Windows. Other players do not need it installed. Your screen shows smooth animations; their screen shows whatever they have; nobody gets kicked. The Hive, CubeCraft, and Lifeboat all work without any extra configuration.

For Realms, if you own it add the pack through Realm settings, and every player who joins gets it automatically. Joining someone else’s Realm? Add it to your own Global Resources, and your screen shows the animations regardless of what the Realm owner set up.

Fixing Common PC Problems

MCPACK Not Opening on Double-Click

Right-click the file, select Open With, and choose Minecraft. If Minecraft does not appear, open the Microsoft Store, find Minecraft Bedrock Edition, confirm it is fully installed, then try again.

Animations Not Showing After Install

Close Minecraft completely from the taskbar, do not just minimize it. Reopen, go to Settings, then Global Resources, and confirm Actions and Stuff is in Active Packs not Available Packs. If another pack sits above it, drag Actions and Stuff to position one.

Pack Missing from Global Resources

Press Windows + R, type %appdata%, and navigate to the resource_packs folder. If the MCPACK file is not there, copy it manually into that folder and restart Minecraft.

Lag or Frame Drops on PC

Drop resolution first, go from 64x to 32x or 32x to 16x. Then lower render distance to 8 chunks in Video Settings. Turn off Fancy Leaves and Beautiful Skies. Close background apps before launching Minecraft.

Pack Stopped Working After Minecraft Update

Go to Settings, then Global Resources, and check if the pack moved from Active to Available. Move it back to Active and reload your world. Your file is not lost, it just needs reactivating.

More fixes are on the FAQ page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Actions and Stuff PC free for Windows?

Yes. The MCPACK works on both as long as you have Minecraft Bedrock Edition installed from the Microsoft Store. Java Edition is a separate app and does not support this pack.

Does it work on Minecraft Java Edition?

No. This pack is built for Minecraft Bedrock Edition only. If you play Java, the Java page has the best alternatives including Fresh Animations and similar mods built for Java.

How do I update to a newer version?

Deactivate the pack in Global Resources, download the latest MCPACK from this page, double-click to import, and reactivate. Your worlds and progress are not affected. All previous releases are on the old versions page.
