There are lots of ways to protect your most private files and documents, but one of the most secure and hardest to crack is to set up an encrypted volume inside your hard drive.

AceBackup is quite a comprehensive program that lets you make conventional backups of all your files and folders and also encrypt any folder on your hard drive where you'd like to save the documents you want to protect.

AceBackup's interface might seem complicated at first, but nothing's further from the truth. To create a new project, just follow the steps indicated by the assistant. If you want to have more control over what's included in each backup, just drag and drop the files and folders in the lower window.

Finally, AceBackup lets you choose from among several compression algorithms with different characteristics and send your backups straight to an FTP server or to your email account.
