YOUR LIFE MATTERS

If you are feeling suicidal, thinking about hurting yourself, or are concerned that someone you know may be in danger of committing suicide, call or text the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.

***Studies have found that most people who attempt suicide are very tired at the time. If you are tempted to go to sleep permanently, try a nap first!***

About this blog:

My husband and I have both been diagnosed with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. His PTSD was caused by combat in Vietnam, mine stems from multiple traumas and abuses during my childhood and early adulthood. We’ve come a long way on our healing journey, although we still have a ways to go.

‘A Blog About Surviving Trauma’ contains my experiences as a survivor of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I am not a mental health professional; these writings are simply my personal experiences, perceptions, and opinions. Nothing here is a substitute for the advice of or the diagnosis and treatment by a mental health professional.
