I remember when the Beatles "Elanor Rigby" came out. What marvelous string accompaniment it had. It shook me to my core and still has great emotional impact decades later.

Fairly recently the strings accompaniment was released WITHOUT the vocals, and it deserves a listen as a really marvelous piece of music in its own right.
