The Tale of Dragomir- Part 2

So Wise Grovespeaker and Mighty Dragomir
Rode out to meet what other men did fear
Dragomir was eager, but Grovespeaker spoke warnings:
“You cannot fight these Demons alone, else you’ll be dead by the morning”

“Wizard, you speak truly, and I have sent word
To a warrior I knew once, who now tends herds
He fought to defend my home when the rouges attacked
He is a master of the Bow, and has keen eyes that will watch our backs
Corvus, the Shepard, is how he is called
He shall arrive in the morn, he shall not tarry nor stall
Now let us away to the Inn in Riverrock
We shall break our fast and await the watcher of the flock”

“You were wise to seek the aid of a friend
We’ll need all the help we can muster to defeat these fiends”

Grovespeaker and Dragomir rode into town
Disguising their purpose with cloaks of Brown
The next morning, as the sun did rise
Corvus the Shepard was revealed to their eyes
Dragomir greeted his brother-in-arms with a rousing shout
The two clapped hands and Grovespeaker was left with no doubt

“We need more help, but this is a fine start
Dragomir tells me that you have a sound mind and Stout heart”

Corvus spoke with merry, impish eyes and a voice of joy
“This be my brother, we’ve been comrades since I was a boy
He saved my skin countless times in Battle, and I his
There’s no better fighter with a Sword or Fist”

It was then that a Beast of a man heard this boast
He sauntered over to the trio, and barked a gloat
“No better fighter, I heard you say?
clearly you have not heard of MY name.
I am OROD! This is my town
All who come here are told of my reknown
I take pride in having the sturdiest fists of any man
So I challenge you, Boy, FIGHT ME, If you Can!”

The Tale of Dragomir- Part 1

Now, dear friends, gather ye round
The better that ye may hear my sound
And once ye all have collected here
I will spin you the story of Dragomir.

A simple man was Dragomir
He wanted for naught and showed no fear
A hero for all the land was he
But content forever this hero could not be

For an Evil lurked on the far side of the world
Where Dragons and trolls Roamed the western shores.
Of Beaconbreach, our hero’s home, these monsters knew nothing
So great was his surprise when a wizard came running

With a beard as long as his breaths were short,
He told tales of horror of Demons killing men for sport.

“We need a hero to stand against these dark days.
The midlands are taken, the towns lit with Dragons blaze.
They have rallied behind one lord and master
I saw this with my own eyes, and rode here all the faster.
I’ve heard tellings of you across the glade
How you protect the innocent with stout heart and strong blade.”

Dragomir waited till the wizard was through
He spoke with words heavy as his intentions were true.
“Truly, these tales darken my heart
Against all these shadows, what will be my part?”

The Wizard leaned forward, his voice was Grave
“It is up to all who are able to stand tall and Brave.
GroveSpeaker, The Wise One, Men do call me well,
I was at your Father’s Side when the Great Demons fell
By His blade, by his honor, we were all saved
A peaceful life for all was the path his sword paved
Now be the Time, Mighty Dragomir
Take up your Armor! Protect those you hold Dear!”
