The Growing Up in America (GUA) contest, an art, essay, and video contest for Bay Area youth needs your support! Your donation goes a long way to help students thrive, explore their identify, and feel seen. Donating supports the contest, AACI’s Youth Program, and other vital services provided by AACI.

Help us bring comfort and support to those in need! AACI’s Care Kits provides essential toiletries to clients across all our programs, including youth and families, survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, and refugee and immigrant communities. Gather your friends, family, or colleagues to assemble kits with new and full-size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and more. Please email development@aaci.org if you’re interested in donating.

Donations of in-kind gifts such as kitchenware, clothing, toiletries, and school supplies go a long way in helping Afghan refugees who are rebuilding their lives after evacuation. We are currently in the process of renewing and restructuring our specific client family wish list, so please check back soon for updated lists.
In the meantime, if you wish to donate, all our client families are always in need of the following items:
- Pressure cooker or Instant Pot – any size
- Pots and pans (Dutch oven, saucepan, and/or frying pans) – any size
- Dinnerware (plates, bowls, glasses, cups) – set of 4
- Silverware (spoons, forks, knives)– set of 4
- Electric kettle – any size
Please email development@aaci.org if you’re interested in donating.
To share this opportunity to support refugee families, check out our AACI Assists Media Tool Kit.

Help AACI’s young clients thrive! AACI’s Take-Home Therapy Kits are designed to support our young clients’ mental health journey, providing them with comforting items and engaging activities for use during and after therapy sessions.
Many of these youth come from backgrounds as immigrants, refugees, or survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. Your contribution of new and unused journals, sketchbooks, and fidgets will directly help children feel valued and secure in their path to wellness.
Please note: Appointments are required for donation drop offs. We can only accept NEW and unused items for the specific needs listed.
Please email development@aaci.org for more information. Thank you for your support!
