The Mission of the Ann Arbor Parent Advisory Committee for Special Education (AAPAC) is:
 
To positively impact the education of all students with an emphasis on those with special needs in the Ann Arbor MI School District by representing students and parents of students needing or receiving special education services, advocating improvements, acting as a resource for our constituents, staff and administration, creating opportunities for education, reporting regularly, facilitating communication, clarifying process, and creating an actual link between our constituents and the administrators responsible for all aspects of special education in the Ann Arbor district.
 
This group is for alternates and representatives of the AAPAC.  There is a public list for anyone interested to join called A2PAC at https://groups.io/g/A2PAC/
 
We have monthly meetings on the first Monday of the month in the Media Center of Tappan Middle School, 2251 E. Stadium Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.  The Media Center is on the 2nd floor.  The meetings are from 7 PM to 9 PM, with administrators from AAPS SISS (special education department) available from 6:15 PM until the regular meeting starts, for consults on individuals issues or questions.
