This is an unofficial application for your 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise band rankings! This application lists all the band playing on the 70,000 Tons metal cruise sailing in February. You can research the bands via the official band link, Wikipedia, and YouTube. The app supports the following features: * Push notifications when new bands are added * Detailed descriptions of the bands provided by Aaron Copeland with ability to customize * iPhone and iPad support with cloud integration so changes in one will reflect on the other * Offline mode so the app will work on the ship (minus external web links) * Share you favorite bands with your friends via standard IOS sharing * Setup Alert Preferences for when you are on the ship Note that Country and Genre information is NOT automatically added like most other announcement data is. The data will be manually added within 48 hours of the band being announced (often sooner) After the schedule of bands is made available on the day of the cruise, a whole new set of features will become available * Alert for shows, meet and greets, clinics, and specials event (When provided in a timely manner by UMC) * Ability to track what shows you attended so you can share a post cruise report * Alerts will only activate for bands on your Must See or Might See List by default * The main screen will show only current shows. Shows that are more then an hour after there start time will automatically drop from the list. * The main screen will sort by time automatically, but you can sort by name as well * All of the above features will always work offline * You can go under settings and choose 'Use Last Years Data' to see all the scheduling features that would otherwise only be available on the day of the cruise. Turn this off to see the latest data available

This feature is called QR Code Schedule. Ideally, Andy will provide the complete schedule of all events, including Meet and Greets and Clinics, before we depart from Miami. We also hope that there won’t be any significant schedule changes during the cruise. This has happened once or twice, but most years, we experience: - Meet and Greet information not being available until well after we sail. - The same issue with Clinics. - And then there are years like 2014 when weather conditions necessitate major schedule changes. Until now, my stance was that if you have an internet connection, I can update the schedule, but if you don’t have an internet connection, you’re screwed. Now, we have a much better solution that won’t cost you anything and will work reliably. Once the schedule change is released to the app, for example, Meet and Greets, you’ll see that your friend’s phone has that data because he purchased the internet package. Meanwhile, you’ll look at your internet-less phone and feel bad because you don’t have Meet and Greets. Fear not, there’s a solution now. Your friend will go to the Share menu and select a new option called ‘Share Schedule via QR Code.’ You’ll then go to the Preference Screen and select ‘Scan QR Code Schedule.’ Point your phone toward your friend’s phone so that the camera can see the QR code. Voila! You now have the Meet and Greet data without an internet connection. This feature works for all schedule data and can handle full schedule rearrangements, such as when the pool deck is shut down and everything is rearranged. Keep in mind that I won’t enter data if a few shows are off by a bit or something like that, but I will update the schedule for major changes like Meet and Greets, Clinics, or significant schedule changes. The QR code generated includes the full schedule compressed and delivered as a binary file. This is not just a text-only payload of a URL that requires internet access. I’m actually encoding a compressed binary file containing a minimized version of the schedule that is then expanded to the full schedule on your phone. See you guys on board! 27.20 Mar 19 We’ve added a new feature called Auto Schedule. When the schedule is released, it will use your Must, Might, and Wont rankings, along with answers to key questions, to create a preliminary draft schedule. This feature, while inspired by AI tooling, is not actually AI. It doesn’t send any data to any AI engine. It’s a purpose-built piece of code designed to help you build a schedule based on your preferences and choices. We use the following information to create your schedule: - Your Must, Might, and Wont rankings - Your choice of how late you want to attend shows - Your choice of whether you want to attend Meet and Greets - Your choice of which clinics you want to attend - Your choice of which special events (e.g., Belly Flop, All Star Jam) you want to attend - Your choice of how conflicts are resolved Once this preliminary schedule is built you have full control over how to modify your schedule from the base handed to you. This feature will automatically present itself when the schedule drops, but if you want to explore it manually the feature is available from within the Preferences screen! Enjoy 27.11 Mar 13 We’ve added a new feature called Auto Schedule.
