Congratulations again to all of the 5G Edge Computing Challenge with AWS and Verizon winners - there was such an impressive group of projects submitted.
The judges have now weighed in and chosen the winners! All winners will receive an email with next steps in the coming days so keep an eye out.

Round 2: New deadline is June 21st @ 3pm ET!
Hi Round 2 Builders!
By popular demand, we are extending the build round. You now have until Monday, June 21st @ 3pm ET to submit your hackathon project on Devpost.
Here are a few items to keep in mind in the final days:

Round 2 submissions close June 15th @ 5pm ET
Just a final shout-out. These are the last few days to work on your project and submit in Round 2 of the 5G Edge Computing Challenge.
We just added a new resource to the hackathon page that can help many of you in the final days:
Testing for non-android devices, IOT devices, etc, can be done by establishing IPSEC tunnel to a OpenVPN server in the parent region and then connecting to the application running in the wavelength zone using the IPSEC tunnel. There is an AWS blog published for accomplishing this (to the region).

Last call to submit your Ideas!
Don’t miss the Round 1 deadline! All ideas must be received by 11:45pm ET on April 25th to be considered for Round 2.
Idea Submissions must be complete including:
● A description of your proposal (200-500 words)
● A short explanation of why your application would run best on Wavelength Zones instead of standard AWS regions
● Estimated bandwidth usage
Get the judges excited to see your proposal become a real world application in Round 2.
