Increased Attendance
With a highly effective coach who excels at building relationships, student-athletes miss 11 fewer days of school per year when compared to non-athletes. Suspensions are reduced by 32%.
Increased GPA
In a diverse population, student-athletes with a coach who effectively pushed them out of their comfort zones had a 3.09 GPA compared to a 2.45 GPA for non-athletes.
Increased Graduation Rates
Graduation rates for English Language Learners (ELL) increased from 48.3% to 62.1% while the state ELL graduation rate declined by more than 5% in the same period (Nebraska DOE, 2023).
