I haven't seen the Librarians yet, I started, but then thought I should maybe watch The Librarian movies first.
I did notice however that soldiers in the opening shot are in Berlin, but the soldiers (the ones that aren't American) are wearing Belgian flag patches.

I know, because the Sound of Music is playing on tv now.
For as long as I can remember they play this movie this time of year.
I'm still not sure why since I don't think it's a real chritmassy movie.

I've also posted all of my christmas cards, and received an really awesome one from berlinghoff79 :)

Today was also our christmas party at work (we still had to work too) and I baked cupcakes to sell for Serious Request. There were till some cupcakes left when I finished work, so won't know what the total is until tomorrow.

A time for snow and Christmas trees and decorations and.... Sending Christmas cards, something I actually plan to do this year.
Although there is a chance it will be a New Years card by the time they arrive.

Anyway, what I"m trying to say is:

Adding subtitles to an opeara song sucks when you don't read or understand Italian and the people singing the duet don't stick to the lyrics.

Is what I'm wondering as somewhere in hearing distance of my appartment a car alarm is going for a record. It's been going for at least 10 minutes now. And it's evil too.  After it beeps for 30 seconds it's silent for 5 and then it starts beeping again. But every time the silence starts I'm hoping that is the end of it..... And then it starts again.

I'm hoping someone shuts it down soon, the batteries of the car die, or someone steals the car.

The Drabble Tree Challenge has ended. And even though Team Play wrote more drabbles, I still think Team Work should win.

Sunday.

Around 10.30 I get in line for the Autograph session. First there is queue to get in to the autograph room and then the queue for the actors. The first table in the room is Joe. At first his line was bloking the door so they told people to get other autographs first. When it was my turn to get in to the autograph room, Joe's line wasn't that long, so I got his autograph first on my Kavan Smith poster. (its a giant poster made for a convention where Kavan Smith was going but the poster maker obviously  had no clue who Kavan was, Because all of the picturs on the poster only 1 is Kavan and the rest is Joe Flanigan. Joe wanted to know why he wasn't invited to that con, since his pic was on the poster :)

Next up were Martha plackett, who took a picture of me and BorgTeddy, Terry Farrell and Michael Dorn. The next table after that was David Hewlett, but the queue forhin was so big that I decided to get Gareth David Lloyd's autograph first.

A friend of mine, Maarten, who was in the David queue with his wife also wanted a Suse Plaxton autograph (she was sighing in a different room) and he wasn't sure if she would still be there after he would finaly get out of the DH autograph queue. He was told he had to choose, because there was no way they could guarantee that Suzy would still be there.  I had the same problem with Manu Intiraymi. My friend decided to leave his wife in the David Queue and get the Suzy autograph and I gave him my picture for Manu, since he was sitting in the same room as Suzy.

Meanwile the David queue was beginning to become a problem. There is only a certain number of people allowed in the room at the same time and since they were all queueing for David Hewlett the other actors had nothing to do. It was then decided to move David (and the queue) upstairs. I knew what was happening, because a friend of mine was at the front of the queue and she told me, but a lot of people in the queue had no idea why they were being moved.

The whole line made it upstairs almost intact (there were a few queuejumpers) When we were moved again, becuase the place where we were put was the James Marsters autograph queue.
Finally the queue was in the right place and I could get my autograph and give David his stroopwafels (sirop wafers) and Haagse hopjes (coffee candies) He said that he would weigh 1000 pounds if he ate all of them. I suggested he share them with Jane, but he wasn't going to. (it is now 13.15 and the end of David's Queue is not in sight)

Next was Manu, Maarten was still standing at his table, but Manu was nowhere to be seen. The vollunteer at his table said he was at the auction and would be back. At 14.00 I get in line for David's photoshoot that is supposed to start at 14.30 and end at 15.00 because he has a q&A then with Joe Flanigan, but if I look at how long the line is, I doubt they'll be finished in time.
I got out of the hte photoshoot at 14.53 and had something to eat, before returning to the main hall. Terry Farrell and Michael Dorn were still on stage when I got back so their q and a was a bit longer than planned.

When Joe and Davids q and a started they had to stand at the side of the stage. Joe was given a basket. Then a lot of people in SGA uniforms came on stage and put lemons in the basket. The last person gave David an apple. The first few times there was a question just for David, Joe would go to the lemon basket. He juggled them and threw a few at David. Someone aksed a slash fanfic question (what is it whith all the fanfic questions this year?) And I had the last question and asked If David had lunch yet (He was signing from 10 till his photoshoot at 14.30 and had his panels straight after) and if he had, wouild he describe his lunch to Joe. Joe went 'o no' and walked away and David said he had a saled and started descrbing it to Joe. :)

I didn't really pay much attention to the Torchwood panel, because someone showed me all the pictures they had taken during the David and Joe Q and A they did get asked slashy fanfic questions again :(

Before the closing ceremony started, there was a charity auction where they auctioned off two Bath'leths for charity. they had the autographs of all the actors who were at FedCon on them. Auctions are not a good place for me because if I see somehting I like, I keep bidding until I win, so this time three of my friends held me down, so I couldn't bid.

There's not much to say about the Closing Ceremd us with a few jokes.
Chase Masterson sang a song for us.
Everybody said their goodbyes to us.

And then it was over. All that is left now is finding my David Photoshoot picture and get out of the hotel have dinner and go home.

Saturday.
A relaxing start of the day. We arrived at FedCon around 12.30. There was a Q and A with Cliff Simon,which started at 12.00 that we had planned on going to, but in ended up nog seeing.. I got a few autograph tickets and waited around for 16.00 to come around which was the time for Gareth David Lloyd's Q&A to start.

Memorable question: I have a question about my backside. There's a question on my backside, can you read it and then answer it? (the question was written on his t-shirt)

We're going to start queueing for the David and Joe photoshoot at 17.00. It starts at 19.00, and Joe's QandA starts at 20.00. I wonder if they will make it on time (probably not) and if they will just cut off the line at 20.00 or have the QandA at a later time.

We get in the queue after and pull up a few chairs so we won't have to stand the entire time. Being in a group of 5 also has the advantage that we can take turns eating dinner. 15 minutes before 19.00 the quue starts moving and everybody is super exited.Things  move quickly and we're back at 19.30.  It's still a long time to the end of the queue however.

In the main hall we see the end of the costume contest.Manu intiraymi, who was one of the judges, said they were the worst group of jurors ever and he was right because the Naavi singing performing a smurf song won best look alke award and they looked nothing like smurfs ;)

We get closer to 20.00 and surprise surprise. Joe Flanigans q and a is  now at 20.45. And once we get to 20.45, it's put on the screen that it now starts at 21.00. And because of that his Q and A was only 30 minutes :(

Mieneke, who shared her chocolate with me :) asked MichaevlDorn a question about I.M Weasel. Only a few people in the audience knew htat show :(  Everybody should watch it, because it rules.

We didn't stay for the band that was performing after the Q and A's had ended, and on our way out I saw something I had never seen before., Having been to lots of cons I thought I had seen it all, but I was wrong.

Time for bed now. I have to be back in Bonn at 10.00 am for the autograph session.,

FedCon

Thursday - Day 0
I started packing my bags.. I had everything ready, Clothes, candy, pictures I wanted to get signed, my laptop, iPod, something to read, my passport, money. Everything except..... my FedCon ticket. When I got the ticket I put it in the kitchen on the same spot where I always keep stuff like that. But because I've put my appartment on the market again and new picures needed to be taken, I moved my ticket to somewhere else. Somewhere secure and in a place I could not possibly forget. The first part was true, the second part wasn't since I have no idea anymore where my ticket is. A search for it did turn up a ticket for a convention I went to a few years ago.
Next time I put a ticket in a safe and secure place I'm going to email myself where I put it.

Friday - day 1
In stead of a ticket, I pack the credit card statement that said I bought the ticket. I'm sure they can figfure it out when I get there. The bus and train journey to Roermond, where I was meeting frineds, was uneventful. After a small delay and three traffic jams we arrived at Bonn :) We found a good parking space and the FedCon staf found my name on the list and I was allowed in to the confention without paying the extra 25 euro you're supposed to pay if you didn't bring your ticket with you.
First thing in the planning; Get in line for a photoshoot with Michael Dorn and Terry Farrel. The line was huge and (no surprice) the photoshoot took a lot longer than planned.
Straight out of that photoshoot we started queuing for the Gareth David Lloyd photoshoot. We were the last of the queue and were given a sign saying: End of the queue (in German) Not for long because someone else joined the line and they got the sign. While I was waiting  lavvyan and berlinghoff79  kept me company for a while. It was a lot of fun seeing them again :). That photoshoot ran late too.
Then it was time to get something to eat and autograph tickets.
I saw the end of   Manu Intiraymi's talk. My friend noticed that he joined af few groups on facebook with his name in it and asked if he would join any groep with his name in it. He said sure. And if there was a group named: Manu Intiraymi has a big giant Borg penis, that he would join it. So my friend Mieneke and I made the group. I wonder if he will join it.

Evening program:
This year hhe host of FedCon is Ed Wasser. So far I'm not missing Marc B. Lee.
Ed introduced all the guests. When he got to Terry Farrell he got a note saying she wasn't there and they started a video of her saying that she wasn't there because there was a problem with her airlineticket qand she wasn't going to make FedCon again, (she cancelled the last couple of times she was announced for FedCon). I think it would have been a bit more effective if she hadn't had a photoshoot that same afternoon though.
Then the rest of the guests were announced and when Ed Wasser said: That's it, there was still 1 guest missing. As the guests were leaving the stage Ed Wasser was given a note from Joe Flanigan. He went one station too far with the train and was now on his way back.

Terry Farrell's talk was next. She had a jetlag and sang us a song.

Halfway David Hewletts talk a friend of mine (who I'm driving home with) played a trick on me by telling me that we had to leave now and we couldn't stay for the rest of the talk. Fortunately it was a joke and we could stay :)

James marsters had a few weird questions like: What did Spike feel when he was fucking Buffy. And a fanfiction question that was first asked of Anthony head. They had asked him if he knew about fanfic and what he thought of the giles/spike pairing. He (after laughing) asked, 'Who would be on top?' So the person now asked Jemes that question. James found it a bit weird cause spike viewed Giles as a father figure, but after a whle he said that Giles could be on top because he wass nolder and he should do all the work.
we left a little before the end of the talk avd so i dont know if they asked him what it was like to kiss john barrowman. But if they haven't I'm sure someone will.

Day 1 - end

When we got our table football table at work last year it was new.

At first when players broke, we replaced them, but we ran out of replacement players. We ordered new ones and broke those too.
And now the only thing holding the players (and the table) together is the duct tape.

Episode 1 of Season 3 of The Guild was made available for downloading on Xbox Live today.  :)
I was happy, until I tried to download it and failed :(

The account I have with Xbox Gold thinks I live in the US. When I tried to download the episode using that I get:
This video is not available in your area.

I can't download the video with my Dutch account, because I don't have gold for that. :(

And changing the country status on my Gold account from the US to the Netherlands is impossible.

It's not the first time I've had an Xbox problem like this, so I probably should have expected it, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating.
