...

That did not go as planned.

[[ Patchy's back from her time being dead. Two things: She's not far from the village thankfully, and she can not read. Not because she's blind, she just can't read. It was her death tax. ]]

To those of us heading into battle, I have discussed a solution with Adell about those Shifters that can disable magic and technology both.

I must first ask, who amongst us entering battle will not be hindred by these Shifts? It is very important that I have your help with this.

[[ Yes, I know she just made a post the other day, but this one is more open >.> ]]

We're going to pretend none of this happened. I'm certain Koa and Sakuya will agree.

-Patchy's not coming in to work today at the library, either. She's pretty much holed herself up in her room. Though she's free to be bothered by anyone that can get up there.-

Something oddly familiar seems to be in the air today. How ominous. Though with this place, it shouldn't be any surprise. Oh well...

At the very least, it's a good excuse to eat expensive chocolates.

-Which is exactly what she's doing, from the chocolate fingerprints showing up on the page. Housemates will find her in her room practically gorging herself on valentine's candy. Shut up, okay.-

[[ First comment thread reserved for Sakuya and Koakuma. Everyone else can git on it after that. ]]

... You know, it's odd that I think of this now. But someone reminded me of it recently.

When I was a little girl, enrolled in school, I was taught the clarinet. I had some tallent for it, but eventually my poor health made it impossible to play. Back then my asthma was unmedicated, and my anemia made it difficult to maintain finger control. And I realized that, after I left Paris, I never went back to the instrument. It's odd... but lately I've felt like taking it up again.

Do any others out there have musical talent? Well, besides the few obvious ones... Or perhaps any hidden performing talent? I find myself so curious...

... We... need to talk

... There will be someone new staying with us. She will be staying in the room Koakuma and I share. Her name is 'Vivi'. She refers to me as her mother. Please treat her well, and be cautious with inviting men into the house, as she is fearful of them. She already knows Adel, so that should not be a problem. Having her live somewhere else is not negotiable...

I need to talk to someone... about relationships. Of the romantic variety.

New feathers again...

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Patchouli Knowledge. I work at the village library and maintain its records, along with a small staff of others. If you have any questions regarding any fiction or non-fiction literature, you may direct them to me. The library can be describes as a "dimensional library", as its interior size is far larger than the size of the building itself, regarding the constant addition of new material. The material is reflective of your home worlds. I understand this can be confusing, so once again, questions regarding that should be directed towards me.

I also teach extra-curicular magic classes, specializing in the Filial magic localized to this region. Given I have a contract with all of the spirits and have become well-versed in the nature of this region's magical practices, one would be hard pressed to find a more qualified instructor, though I fully understand if I am not to your liking.

... That is all.

-Or is it.-

... Actually, it seems I've forgotten something. I never exchanged gifts last month. I'm not certain how that could have slipped my mind.

There's so much noise in the library... but it's far too cold to take my lunch break outside...

... mukyu

-The voice heard over the journals is decidedly NOT Patchy's. But it's similar, isn't it?-

There are far too many children in this library... We really are too short staffed for this kind of thing. If anyone is willing to help, please come by. Otherwise, the Library is still open for your literature needs. Please come by in an orderly fashion, though.

-... Okay, that's Patchy, but... what the hell?-

[[ Replies will be from 1week_warlock ]]

-The voice is clearly panicked and fearful. It opens with a scream of realization. That mark... no spell can harm those who wear it.-

The mark THE MARK! The mark makes them immune! No spells, no curses will harm them! He gave his men power to kill us! To purify his world! Dirty... dirty monsters! Magic has no place in his world!

Even now they march... coming for us... all of us! Mère... Père... they're both dead. Trying to protect me... Why? I'm weak. I only held them back...

Remilia! We have to run! WE HAVE T-

-She breaks into a fit of coughs. Hard, violent coughs. There's a sound of collapse, and small spatterings of blood appear on the page.-

[[ Obviously House 44 folk need to help her out. ]]

Remi...

I could have sworn I just saw them. The SS. I heard their marching.

I won't be working at the library today. I refuse to go out looking like this.

-Which, with a statement like that, one would be lead to believe Patchouli had gotten a very RAW deal with her costume change, right?

Really, she's just overreacting a bit. Though Remilia and the others may get just why this is so humiliating for her.-

Remi, Meiling... I'd like your help with something. I haven't long, so it's quite important. And we must discuss it in private.

I will also be taking a temporary leave from my duties at the Library. I'm sure you'll all be fine without me.

-LOOK! UP IN THE SKY! IT'S A BIRD! IT'S A PLANE! IT'S...

A librarian. With her book. Falling rapidly. WHAT WILL YOU DO, RANDOM STRANGER BELOW HER? Will you catch her? Will you let her fall? Do you happen to be aware that Patchouli can fly and think she'll stop herself? (Protip: She won't). Time's a tickin', deary, and she sure is falling fast.

Don't worry. She's not heavy. The book, however...-

It has come to my attention that the living conditions that myself and my companions have found ourselves in are........... unsatisfactory.

We would like to move into a much larger house. If anyone knows of any that are available, the larger the better, it would be greatly appreciated.

The other option is having Adell and Meiling build us a new one. I am not opposed to this.

"Hmm... This is certainly not the state in which I left things..."

"You left things? I certainly hope you have an explanation."

"...Remi? Remi! There you are!"

"It will come in due time." -Patchouli sounds as if she is looking around, digging for things-

"Hnn...it's fine, sister. We're all together."

-Flandre sounds as if she's clinging close to Remilia-

"I hadn't intended to pull you both with me... but I suppose it could not be helped."

"Where are we?"

"Luceti"

"Luceti? You know, I don't mind you taking a vacation but please be more careful next time."

"We are not here on vacation. And the spell that brought us here will not bring us back.... She's not here. But she is still in the region. We need to find her."

"Who is not here? No, forget I said that. SAKUYAAAAAAA!!!"

"...my wings are gone." -Trying not to panic.-

"Sakuya did not come with us. Nor did the gatekeeper. Your wings have been temporarily replaced. This is normal."

-Remilia squeezes Flandre's hand and tries not to be mad for her sake- "Normal? I'm missing a maid and my beautiful wings. I can't accept that at all, Patchy."

"You will forgive me, Remi, but for now we have little choice.... Ah, so that's where she moved. He kept his promise, it would seem... Very well. If you would please stay close with me, we need to go find my familiar."

-A sigh from Remilia. No sense in causing a fuss if it's Patchy-

-Tugging on Remilia.- "...I want my wings back, Remi."

"I'll find them for you, I promise. Yours and mine."

"Hmm... it already started recording us, it would seem. These things... so bothersome..."

-Temporarily distracted.- "What did?"

"Doing what? Do something about it if it's a problem. I don't need anymore of that."

"The book I've been holding. You both will find your own copies near you."

"...fine." -Which she stuffs away because IMPATIENCE- "We don't have all night, Patchy. If you know your way around, get us someplace safe."

"We are quite safe as it is.... Though we will need parasols for you both before we leave this building."

"You'll be fine with us Flandre."

-Kind of excited sounding. "Outside."

"Then it's settled..." -She seems to address the book itself now- "Luceti. For those of you who remember me, I have returned. I have, accidentally, brought with myself Remilia Scarlet and her sister, Flandre. You would do well to politely introduce yourselves to them both."

Koakuma... I'm awake now.

It's been a few days... I had an interesting dream...

In that dream, there were two beings. A great angel, and a great devil. They seemed to battle one another, as if for supremecy. It was all very bizarre... at first.

But then it became clear that the angel was Kohaku... and the devil was Remilia. I'm not sure what it all meant, but...

Kohaku... if you're out there... we need to speak.

...

To the Library Staff, I apologize greatly for my prolonged abscence, but it will take some time to recover my strength. I am no longer in need of Koakuma's constant attention, at the least, so I can send her back to work now. I thank you for your patience and understanding.

As for everyone else... I apologize for my rash behavior.

-Patchouli's voice is... shaking. Rage, sadness, frustration... she's completely lost her composure. These words are coming through teeth clenched. You can almost hear her starting to break down.-

Little rats...

I've little faith in the "cats" of this village. I will deal with you personally.

I would highly recommend... not getting in my way...

-The book is closed. And Patchouli begins making her way into the wilderness towards the mountains. It was a vague hint, but her spells can do the rest of the work of finding them.-

I am looking for a person named "Naoya"

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
