Crossing the Vltava river in Prague, the Charles Bridge is probably one of the most known bridges in Europe and thousands of tourists visit it every year, that’s for sure! Its construction started in 1357 under the orders of King Charles IV and it was finished in the beginning of the 15th century. The bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, the great majority of baroque-style, now all replaced by replicas.
