zRef is a refereeing app to help you keep track of your matches. The app can keep track of time, log goals, cautions, ejections, and more. The app is simple to use. Simply create a new match, and supply the time per half. Click the start button to start the timer and press it to stop. There is a timer and stopwatch, so you can know he time remaining and the elapsed time for filling out game cards. You can also click and hold start/stop the button to log things such as goals, cautions, and ejections. When the game is over, you will be given an end of game report. This will contain the final score and each event that occurred (including time).

Version History - Added the ability to modify events. In the current report view (accessible from the action menu), there is a new button allowing you to change and remove events. - Partially fixed a bug where the workout mode would end while a game is still in session. Opening the action menu (pressing and holding the start/stop button) will reset the workout mode if it had stopped for whatever reason. - Fixed the prompt to eject a player when they receive a second caution. - Minor performance improvements 2.3 Feb 9 - Added complications, allowing for quicker access to zRef from your Watch Face 2.2.1 06/10/2025 - Added the ability to start an injury by double tapping the screen - Fixed a bug that would omit a leading zero (0) if there was a single digit amount of seconds after logging a goal for the away team 2.2 05/19/2025 This update includes bug fixes and UI improvements: - Fixed a bug where canceling an action (eg. a goal) and then logging something else would result in unattended side effects (eg. score goes up). - Fixed a bug where ejecting a player due to two cautions would result in incorrect time and other data being added to the report. - Made the number input cancel and submit buttons look a little nicer. - Properly aligned some elements - Altered some text to make it easier to understand its meaning. - Increased size and thickness of the clocks. 2.1 01/09/2024 After a long time, zRef 2.0 is out! Here are some notable changes: UI: - Improved UI, including cleaner animations, nicer buttons, and more! - Added score in corner of main screen Game Report: - Added halftime score to game report. - Game report can be viewed before the end of the game (select “Current Report” from the action menu). Number Input: - Removed a bug that put a 0 in front of a number in the player number input. - Unfortunately, WatchOS 10 reduced the “safe area” I can work with, so the cancel button on number inputs has been removed. Instead, if you submit the number input blank, it will cancel. Cancel Game: - The cancel game button was too easy to press, meaning you could accidentally cancel your game, losing the data stored. The button has been moved to the action menu, and will now require you to confirm before the game is canceled. Injury Timer: - Fixed many bugs with the injury timer. Haptics: - New haptics have been added Bugs: - Removed a bug that caused a haptic to go off when the timer wasn’t finished Hidden Changes: - Dropped WatchKit Extension (speeds the app up a bit) - Logged items are now processed quicker, as the app no longer waits for the animation to complete before starting to process. 2.0 10/25/2023 +The end game report will now place a 0 in front of a single digit minute number -Fixed a bug that caused multiple final scores to appear in the end game report -Fixed a bug that would repeatedly show the prompt to eject a player for 2 cautions if the same team was selected 1.6 07/26/2022 +Using the workout mode, the app will stay on the foreground, and will show an icon at the top of the watch face to open the app. 1.5 07/26/2022 +Added an injury stopwatch.
