Hmmm....

I never know what to write in these things! That's the main reason I hardly ever post here.

Anyway, junior year of high school...boo. Not very fun for me right now. Just very overwhelming and so much work. I quit my job b/c they wouldn't cooperate with what I was requesting. I asked for less hours, so I could possibly work and be lessed stressed about school, but they gave me more. I might have something lined up that I'm very excited about, thanks to a very generous person. I've only told one person out of sheer excitement, but I don't want to get my hopes up, so until it becomes official, I'm not going to say what.

When I do have time when I'm free, I either listen to music (lately it's been constant music from Jill Sobule. I have phases where I'm really obsessed with an album, and right now it's been her "Happy Town" album) or read (right now I'm reading Running With Scissors by Augusten Burroughs). I've been watching "The Megan Mullally Show" every day as well (for the obvious reasons).

That's really all. Not much else going on in my life.

xoxo

This looks oddly familiar...

I have neglected this thing for long enough.

Summer's going well. I have a job at a grocery store as a cashier. Other than that, I've been relaxing, and reading a lot. 3/4 of my paycheck basically goes to Borders now. I've gotten into the work of Truman Capote (although I've only read Breakfast At Tiffany's and a couple of short stories). I had to read Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird for school and loved it. I'm currently reading Mary Gaitskill's Veronica.

The rest of my paycheck usually goes to getting CDs. I can't get enough of Gnarls Barkley's song "Crazy," and I don't know why, lol. I've also bought Corrine Bailey Rae's CD. Hopefully, I'll be able to get David Ford's album (one of his songs was on the CD sampler of Paste magazine, and I loved it). And I'm impatiently waiting for the release of the new Indigo Girls CD "Despite Our Differences."

No vacation over the summer, but I will be going to Orlando for a week in late September, which I heard is nice because there aren't that many people vacationing during that time of year. A little nervous about the plane ride, but I'll suck it up.

xoxo

Six Days and Counting...

Not counting the weekends, I only have six days of school left. We got yearbooks this week, so everyone's getting everyone to sign their's. This year was a lot better than freshman year, but I'm still glad to be out for the summer. I'm definitely not a morning person, so a couple months of sleeping in sounds pretty good to me.

A while ago, they found out who wrote the bomb threat on the bathroom wall. Turns out it was Sarah's sister's ex-boyfriend. He was a jerk to begin with, but I didn't think he'd do that.

The 18th was the Will & Grace series finale. Yes, there were tears, and lots of them, coming from me. And this Thursday, they aired it once again. There were tears that time too, but not as much, since I already knew what happened. But I think that it's going to be one of those things that will always make me tear up (I can't get through the "Friends" series finale without crying just a little).

Tomorrow, Ryan and I are going over to Sarah's to watch some movies. It was really fun the last time we did it, although we were going to watch a few and ended up only watching "The Breakfast Club" then having a Fooseball (sp?) tournament. Sarah wants me to bring my "Saturday Night Live: Best Of..." collection, so I'll bring that along with a couple of other movies I know they like.

xoxo

"Please Pardon This Interruption...

...We have a special announcement. All students are dismissed. The building is being evacuated, we have just recieved a bomb threat. There is no need to worry."

I heard this five minutes before school ended yesterday. I was in American Cultures and Reece and I were working on a worksheet for Watergate. Some guy wrote that there was a bomb that was going to go off today on a bathroom wall. But seriously, if there's a possibility that a bomb is going to go off in a building that I'm in, don't tell me that I shouldn't worry!! lol. There was no bomb, though, and now they're trying to find the one who wrote that on the wall.

Anyway, yesterday was my 16th birthday. My big gifts were a new cell phone (it's a camera phone), and tickets to see Eric McCormack's play "Some Girls" in New York in June (if I wasn't sitting on a chair, my legs would have gave, lol). My german class and science class sang to me yesterday, and the chorus sang to me today (thanks to Sarah).

Now for a meme from Matty:

10 of my favorite people
In no order...
1 Sarah
2 Reece
3 Nic
4 Elks
5 Matty
6 Ryan
7 Colleen
8 Jess
9 Gemma
10 Jessie

9 of my favorite places
1 My room
2 Borders
3 Any music store
4 The mall
5 A concert/gig
6 Sarah's house
7 Barnes & Noble
8 Parma with Sarah and Alex
9 Starbucks

8 of my favorite movies
1 Mind the Gap
2 Everything Put Together
3 The Wedding Date
4 The Pact
5 Grease
6 November
7 Maria Full Of Grace
8 Crash

7 of my favorite foods
1 Chocolate
2 Cherries
3 Strawberries
4 Cheese
5 Chicken
6 Tuna
7 Kiwi

6 of my favorite tv shows
1 Will & Grace
2 Roseanne
3 Ned And Stacey
4 The Office (US Version)
5 Friends
6 Everybody Loves Raymond

5 things that make me smile
1 Red Roses
2 Acoustic guitars
3 My friends
4 My iPod
5 Chocolate, lol

4 of my favorite words
1 Spramp (a word Jack made up on W&G, but I do use it in real life, lol)
2 Threeve (an inside joke between me and Sarah. It was on a Celebrity Jeopardy sketch from Saturday Night Live. The final category was to write down any number, and "French Stewart" wrote down "Threeve," a combination of three and five)
3 Potpourri (just because it's fun to say, lol)
4 Ohmygodwhatamigonnado (another inside joke between me and Sarah. From Sherman Hemsley on "The Surreal Life")

3 of my bad habits
1 Procrastination
2 Not believing in myself
3 Singing out loud when I don't know I'm doing it

2 things i cant live without
(Not including necessities like food and water)
1 My friends
2 Music

1 word to decribe myself
1 Bohemian

xoxo

End of Easter Break

No one ever comments me anymore, lol. I won't be updating as often, since I guess no one reads this anymore. This is copied from my xanga:

So, Reece and I are planning to go to Scary Movie 4 this coming weekend. Hopefully it will work out, lol.

I so don't wanna go back to school tomorrow, lol. It's been so relaxing having this break. My Easter was okay. I got candy (of course), and I also got Melissa Etheridge's CD "Lucky" and Fastball's "All The Pain Money Can Buy." My dad's girlfriend gave me $20, and I went out today and bought Melissa Etheridge's "Breakdown" (found it used), and Sonya Kitchell's "Words Came Back To Me."

I applied at Coconuts, thinking that it would be cool working at a music store. We'll see what happens.

This weekend did come with some not so good news. Saturday night, my dad's work place got burned down by a fire that started in the building next to it. We went there Sunday, and it was horrible. There was people fishing through the debris looking for things they could salvage and use (these were random people, mind you, not people who worked there). Along with that, it apparently killed a couple of animals. There was fur on the ground in a few places, and it made me sick. I don't know what my dad's gonna do for a job now.

xoxo

40 Questions

Something I stole from Matty:

1. Where were you when the ball dropped for 2006?
In my living room at my dad's watching it with Janae.

2. How did you get the idea for your profile name?
You all know by now I'm a huge Will & Grace fan. I was looking on this one W&G site and they had this thing that said "I can go from zero to Karen in 2.3 seconds." It became an inside joke, and that's how I got zero2karen

3. What time were you born?
6:36 AM

4. What song are you playing now, or wish you were playing?
Jill Sobule's "Clever"

5. Has the death of a celebrity ever made you cry?
John Ritter, Gregory Hines

6. What color underwear are you wearing?
Do you need to know that?

7. Do you want a baby?
No. Check back when I'm like 15 years older.

8. What did you do this morning?
Watched "Rent" on DVD (just got it last night)

9.
English Class Leaves Me Fuming

I may be overreacting, and you can be the judge of that. It's just that I'm so angry right now, and I need to write about it.

Two weeks ago, we had to bring in a poem or song lyrics that spoke to you for English class. I had originally chosen to bring in the song "Vrbana Bridge" by Jill Sobule. It's a beautiful love story. The lyrics are behind the cut.

They stood by the window
And watched the old church
Burn for the second time
The light from the fire made her glow like an angel
As she pulled him down and smiled
And they lay on the bed
There were shouts all around
They could shut the whole war out
With the squeak of the springs
And tomorrow's dreams
And the beating of their hearts

He would lay his arms down for her
She would forgive his brother's crime
They would do anything
To make it past Vrbana Bridge

Well he looked up to Jesus
And she looked to the east
Where the sun was soon to rise
She asked for Allah's blessings
To keep them both alive
They had friends in high places
Who could do them a favor
Turn a blind eye
They'd seen so much hate
And death every day
"Let's just let those two walk by"

They would lay their arms down for her
They would forgive his brother's crime
If for one moment they would
Let them pass Vrbana Bridge

Through a crack in the wall
Of a sandbagged building
The soldier saw them fall
He said "If love was their only armor
Well, it did no good at all"
They lay for six days
In a final embrace
They shut the whole war out
The soldier blames the other side
But even he has his doubts

He would lay down his arms down for her
He would forgive his brother's crime
He would lay down his arms
To let them pass Vrbana

He would lay down his arms for her
She would forgive his brother's crimes
Only one moment they would let them pass Vrbana Bridge

I wasn't sure about the lines "As she pulled him down and smiled/They lay on the bed/There were shouts all around/They could shut the whole war out/With the squeak of the springs/And tomorrow's dreams..." so I asked my teacher what she thought. She said that that line was fine, however she found it offensive. I said okay, and used another Jill song, "Manchild."

I was talking about it with my mom and her friends, Scott and Amy, at Borders after school the same week, and they couldn't find anything offensive in it. So today before class started, I went to my teacher with the lyrics on a piece of paper, and I said that I repected her opinion, but I was wondering what it was that she found offensive.
She says, "Well, what weren't you sure about for that song?"
I pointed to the lines I mentioned above and said, "This part."
Without looking at the paper, she says, "Yeah, that's the part I found offensive." I didn't want to mention that she said that that part was fine, because I didn't want to argue. Then, like some snobby girl like the ones who think of me as inferior because I'm not as popular, she says to me, "I don't get why you're asking, I mean YOU'RE the one who came up to me and ask me."
All I could manage to say was an "Okay" and went back to my seat.

I'm pretty sure it had to do with the fact that Allah is mentioned in the song. But, it's not saying anything against Allah; the lines are just "She asked for Allah's blessings/To keep them both alive." That was the feedback I got before I asked her today. Again, I may be overreacting, but what do you all think?

At least I can post the lyrics up here.

xoxo

Aspera! Per Aspera! Per Ardua! Ad Astra!

Walking we are caught by tiny hooks that hold our hope
Our skin may be scratched, but nothing holds us back
I will be brave, I will be brave
My body may change, but my spirit will stay

About an hour ago, I got tickets to see Erin McKeown and Melissa Ferrick at the Theater of Living Arts in Philly! I haven't heard Melissa Ferrick's music, so I'm planning to sample some of her work the next time I go to FYE or Barnes & Noble or something like that. The concert's April 1st, and I can't wait!

Now, something I stole from Matty. It's something for you to fill out:

1. Who are you?
2. Who am I?
3. Do you love me? (As a friend)
4. Would you hug me?
5. Would you kiss me?
6. Would you like to meet me IRL?
7. If so, what would you want to do with me?
8. Ever wanted to tell me something but couldn't?
9. What makes me happy?
10. What makes me upset?
11. What would you do if I disappeared from the Internet for a month?
12. What would you do if I lost all access to the Internet?
13. How long do you think we will be friends?
14. Who is my best friend?
15. Where and/or when and/or how did we meet?
16. What was your first impression of me?
17. Do you still feel that way about me now?
18. Was this a waste of time?
19. Will you put this in your e-mail/LJ/other net blog/etc?

xoxo

I Have Met The Anti-Zamir...

Films and drills and safety illustrations
The crushed cars of Driver Education...

Wow, it's been awhile since I posted here! Anyway, thought my current song matched my day, b/c we got a new schedule in school for the second semester, and I had my first Driver Ed. class. I thought it would be interesting, and fun, since I found out that Sarah, Ryan, Dexter, and Kyle are all in my class, but it's not. My teacher is so boring! He speaks in a monotone, and he kinda looks like Mr. Zamir from "Will & Grace," only he's not interesting whatsoever, so I've named him "The Anti-Zamir." So, here's my schedule (we run on a 6 day cycle):

Period 1: English
Period 2: Study Hall on days 1, 3, and 5 and Bach to Rock on days 2, 4, and 6 (It's a class about composers and artists)
Period 3: Biology
Period 4: German
Period 5: Lunch (I was so happy my lunch didn't change, b/c I heard that 80% of the students had their lunch period changed)
Period 6: Health
Period 7: Driver Ed on days 1, 3, and 5 and Concert Choir on days 2, 4, and 6
Period 8: Geometry
Period 9: American Cultures

So, anyway, I got bored last night and took a quiz to see which Indigo Girl I was. Turns out I'm most like Amy Ray (which I kinda figured. It seemed like Amy and I had a similar personality).

Guess there's really not much more to say, except I joined the iPod craze and got one this weekend that holds 7,500 songs. So far I only have about 202 on it; most of them are from Jill Sobule, the Indigo Girls, Beth Hart and Joni Mitchell. But I've got tons of other artists on there as well.

xoxo

So, first of all...Christmas. I thought it was a good holiday. I got to see my uncle Charlie and aunt Holly, and I haven't seen them for awhile. Here's what I got (I may forget a few things, but whatever):
~An acoustic guitar
~Johnathan Rice's CD "Trouble Is Real"
~A biography of Joni Mitchell
~Indigo Girls CD "1200 Curfews"
~Guitar songbook for the Indigo Girls album "Become You"
~A capo and thumb picks for my guitar
~An acoustic/electric pickup for my guitar
~Season 1 of "The Office" (US version) on DVD
~Season 1 of "Friends" on DVD
~Season 2 of "Three's Company" on DVD
~"Rebound" on DVD
~"The Witches of Eastwick" on DVD (one of the only Cher movies I don't have)
~An Erin McKeown T-Shirt
~An Alanis Morissette T-Shirt
~An Alanis Morissette tourbook for the Jagged Little Pill Acoustic tour
~Gift cards to Old Navy, FYE, Aeropostale, and Borders

Now something from Matty:

* post 5 weird/random stuff about yourself.
* at the end, list the names of 5 people who you want next to do this.
* leave a comment "you're tagged!" in their blogs, and tell them to read your blog for rules!

1.)I can start singing at the most random times, and half the time I won't even realize I'm doing it.
2.)I'm trying out for the school's Dance Theater
3.)I got into Jill Sobule through "Will & Grace" (long story)
4.)Meeting Megan Mullally pulled me out of the state of depression I was in after my breakup
5.)In July, I finally got to sing "Galileo" among a bunch of Indigo Girls fans at the concert I went to.

I never know who to tag, so do it if you want.

xoxo

I like someone. I'd tell him, but he's got a girlfriend, and I'm afraid it'll ruin our friendship. Matty already knows, and I'm pretty sure Nic can figure it out.

I'm not in the musical. I'm slowly, but surely getting over it.

Saturday, Sarah, Ryan and I are going bowling. Should be a lot of fun.

Here's something I stole from Matty. I would like people to fill this out, just to see what people write, lol:

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad -- BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

Short post, but I can't think of anything else.

xoxo

I think today is when they post the cast list for the school musical. I'm so nervous about it, I hope I get in! I'll either make a new post or edit this one with the info.

Now something from Matty:

List Seven songs you're into and tag seven people:

1. Jill Sobule: "Karen By Night"
2. Alanis Morissette: "You Oughta Know" (the ultimate pissed off dumped girl's anthem)
3. Jim Boggia: "Where's The Party?"
4. PJ Harvey: "Down By The Water"
5. Jill Sobule: "(Christmas Is) The Saddest Day of the Year" (yes, I know, depressing song, but it's good!!!!)
6. Alanis Morissette: "Princes Familiar"
7. Alanis Morissette: "That I Would Be Good"

Tagging: Eh, do it if ya want, I'm not forcing you.

EDIT: Apparently the cast list will be posted Tuesday or possibly Wednesday, so now I have to wait even longer.

xoxo

Happy Turkey Day! (or, It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'll begin with a meme stolen from Matty:

I will list 10 of my fandoms. Guess my favorite character from each, then copy and paste this into your LJ. These are in no particular order (well, the first three are, but the rest aren't, lol)
1.Will & Grace: littlemegfan (Nic) got it right-Karen Walker (*gasp* I never would have guessed!)
2.Roseanne
3.Ned and Stacey: Nic got it right-Stacey Colbert
4.The Office (US version)
5.Saturday Night Live (I'll take either favorite actor, sketch, or recurring sketch character for this one)
6.That 70's Show
7.Just Shoot Me!
8.Cheers: Nic got it again! Diane Chambers
9.Friends: Nic again-Phoebe Buffay
10.Everybody Loves Raymond: Nic knows me too well, haha-Frank Barone

Anyway, my Thanksgiving was okay. I was over at my grandmother's house in the afternoon where I was the butt of a couple jokes as usual. Overall it was an okay afternoon. Now I'm at my dad's, where we just finished putting up the Christmas tree. It looks pretty cool. Now I need to get gifts for everyone, but there is no way I am shopping on Black Friday, lol.

Tonight is a new "Will & Grace" which I will be watching. Megan Mullally will also be on Letterman, so I'm watching that too. My evening will be good!

xoxo

"Underdog Victorious..."

Woo! After a long period of waiting, and a series of emails, I'm finally getting my Jill Sobule "Underdog Victorious" t-shirt shipped to me! They were out of the white ones in my size, so I went for an "army" color (or so it was described by Jill's webmaster). Hope it looks okay!

We get our class rings on Tuesday. I can't wait! Of course, mine has to do with music. There's a guitar on one side and a music note on the other. I think I got my initials engraved on the inside as well, but I can't remember. Oh well, I'll be surprised.

Next week, we only have two days of school: Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday, Reece and I are going to try to see "Rent" together (I've been dying to see this movie), but he has to check to see if he's free then. If not, my mom will be taking me. On Thanksgiving, I'll be going to my grandmother's in the afternoon (Oh, that should be interesting). I'm spending the evening with my dad, but we will be watching the new "Will & Grace" (at least I won't be shunned to the freezing cold den at my grandmother's like I was last year. Although, Kirsten and Chris came in within a couple of minutes and watched it with me, so that was pretty cool). Not sure what I'll be doing Friday, but hopefully I can go to the mall with Sarah and Ryan (maybe Kyle too. But Ryan, you need to bring the camera again, that was hilarious with the "Many Faces of Kyle" that I did, haha. Sarah: "Noooooooo!" *click* "Crap...").

Alex is supposed to email me (unless he decided to call my cell phone which I hardly ever turn on, lol), but has yet to. I was at my locker today and he just comes over and says, "Do you have plans Saturday?" I don't know why he's asking that, which was what the email was supposed to explain. Well, I'm emailing him tomorrow about tonite's "Will & Grace" so maybe he'll reply and tell me.

xoxo

Ten Things I Can't Live Without

Stole this from Matty:

List 10 things you can't live without, and tag 10 friends to do the same.

In no particular order, and necessities like food and water do not count:

1. Music (Geez, could you imagine what kind of state I'd be in if I didn't have music?! Cut to me in the fetal position in a corner of my living room)
2. "Will & Grace" (as odd as that sounds, it's true)
3. My friends (how can I leave them out of the list? Especially when Reece just gave me a new nickname today: Panaynay. Don't ask, it's VERY inside, lol)
4. Internet (only way I can communicate with Nic, Elks, and Matty)
5. Singing despite my lack of confidence in myself (although Kelsi said I should have confidence in myself because I'm good)
6. Laughter (how else are you going to get through a crappy day?)
7. Poetry (sometimes reading a good poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay [current favorite is Souvenir] or Sylvia Plath can take my mind off of things)
8. Indie films (Oh, man, I can't imagine life without my love for indie films. I am so glad I found "Pieces of April" when I did)
9. Chocolate (what do you expect? It's my favorite food)
10. Playing guitar (even if it's just fooling around and playing riffs that don't sound right, I do it every day)

Tagged:
Wow, do I even have 10 friends on here that I talk to regularly? You know what, I tag people who see this and feel like filling it out.

xoxo

"This Book Is All That I Need..."

"...How to, how to, SUCCEED!!!!!"
Ok, had to finish that out. I'm in a very "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" mood, because that's what the spring musical is this year!!!! I'm so excited about this, Megan Mullally was Rosemary in the Broadway revival, and even though I'd love to play her, there is just about no way that I'd get that chance. Like they're really going to cast a Sophomore in the role. Reece keeps telling me "Never say never" but I'm not getting my hopes up. I just want to be in the cast in some way.

Anyway, my mom came home from a doctor's appointment today and said, "Guess who I saw at the doctor's office?"
"I don't know, who?"
"Brandon's mom."
"Oh."

Crash and burn. Unexpected tears started to form (thought I was stronger than that).

"She told me that she wishes you two would talk to each other."
I made my case. Since we're in the same German class, I figured I'd try to talk to him and have somewhat of a friendship. But there was just no effort from him. I don't know if it's because he doesn't want to upset his new girlfriend by talking to me or what, but something was keeping him from making an effort. So I just stopped trying. I figure if he doesn't want to try, why should I?

Anyway, my day off consisted of that, and listening to the H2$ soundtrack, trying to master "Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm" which I have to sing for auditions for the musical.

Today's my dad's birthday. We're going out to Damon's later for dinner, but he's still watching "Will & Grace" with me tonight. In the commercial, Grace kisses Leo. WTF?!

xoxo

Okay, I'm going to try this, it may or may not work, but whatever:

Give me 1000 comments in this entry. Or whatever, really. YOU, in particular, don't have to supply the whole 1000, but a tiny contribution would be nice. Then let me know if you post this in your journal and I'll return the favor.

I'm gonna get about two comments in this thing, haha.

xoxo

Day Off...

Today I don't have school. Sarah, Ryan, Kyle (wow, he's a new one. I don't think Kyle's ever gone anywhere with us), and I are going to the mall, and we'll probably stop at the new Cold Stone Creamery to get a bite to eat. It should be fun. I'll have to ask Ryan if he watched "Will & Grace" last night (he missed the other new eps of the season except for "Alive and Schticking," and he missed the rerun of "The Birds and the Bees" when he told me a half an hour before it came on that he was going to watch it, haha. Only Ryan...).

Holly sent me a couple of songs this week (Thanks, Holl!): "Softer" by Jimmy Eat World and "Cosmopolitans (Tri-Factor Remix)" by Erin McKeown. I had heard "Softer" before and liked it, and I've only heard a sample of the remix of "Cosmopolitans." She said she'd be happy to send them over to me, which was incredibly nice of her.

This is a really short post, but I can't think of anything more to say.

xoxo

Not Much To Say...

My dad just told me that on "Saturday Night Live," Rachel Dratch and Amy Poehler parodied the Indigo Girls last night (Rachel was Amy Ray and Amy was Emily Saliers). I tuned in at the "O'Reilly Factor" parody of the show and missed it, because the Indigo Girls parody was at the beginning. I guess I'll have to look for the rerun (although my dad said I may not like it, but I'll watch it anyway).

Anyway, Matty tagged me, so I'll do this meme:

10 years ago:
I was 5 and my parents were still together.

5 years ago:
I was 10 and now in my obsession with Cher that I never really got out of.

1 year ago:
I was 14, met and spent the day with Jill Sobule, and because of her calling me a "budding songwriter" after I told her I had only begun to write songs, I started writing more and more until I was positive this was what I wanted to do with my life.

Yesterday I:
~Watched the movie "Look At Me" (didn't know it was in French with English subtitles when I rented it, but it was good)
~Read some of The Funny Thing Is... by Ellen DeGeneres
~Went to my aunt's house
~Watched "Unfabulous" with Kirsten in her room (cut to us screaming at the TV at the end of the show and everyone in the living room wondering what the hell happened)
~Talked with everyone at my aunt's (my uncle Eric came at around 10)
~Watched part of SNL

5 snacks I enjoy:
~M&Ms
~Twix
~Kit Kat
~Cheese
~The occasional Ben & Jerry's pint

5 songs I know all the words to: (Only 5?! Oh well, I'll pic five at random)
~"Karen By Night" by Jill Sobule
~"Let Me Believe (Evan's Lament)" by Jim Boggia
~"Closer To Fine" by Indigo Girls
~"Daisy And Prudence" by Erin McKeown
~"Down By The Water" by PJ Harvey

5 things I'd do with 100 dollars:
I'd probably just add to my music and indie film collection, so no need to put 5 things.

3 places I would run away to:
~New York
~L.A.
~London

1 thing I would never wear:
~Tube tops

5 favorite shows:
~Will & Grace
~Roseanne
~Ned and Stacey
~Just Shoot Me
~Everybody Loves Raymond

5 bad habits:
~Picking scabs
~Singing at random times (I don't know why I do it)
~Swearing too much with my friends
~Taking certain things too seriously
~Can't think of another one

5 biggest joys:
~Music
~Friends
~Days where I can just relax and play guitar
~Hanging out with Kirsten
~Shopping (well, most times it's fun)

5 fictional characters I would date: (Oh, wow, this is a hard one. All of these have an implied "If I were older...")
~(If he weren't gay) Will Truman from "Will & Grace"
~Sam Blue from "Mind the Gap" (great personality)
~Nick Mercer from "The Wedding Date"
~Sebastien (I think that's how it's spelled in the movie) from "Look At Me"
~Can't think of another one.

I tag:
Anyone who sees this and wants to fill this out, lol.

xoxo

Homecoming

The dance on Saturday...amazing. Well, despite the fact that it reopened the whole "It sucks to be single" thing. Before the dance, I went over to Ryan's to take pictures with him, Sarah, and Charity. After I had become temporarily blind because of all the flashes, we met Gianfranco, Alex, Amanda and Gemma at Olive Garden for dinner. We had gotten there at 4:00 to be sure to get a table, and we got done before it was time to go to the dance, so we stopped at Borders and Coconuts to look around before we headed to the school.

We got inside to the gym and the better part of an hour was spent trying to find Reece (they eventually turned the lights off and leaving a disco light on, so it was extremely hard to find him). When I did, we went off and everyone started dancing. It was so great, although I have no dancing ability whatsoever. Reece and I shared a slow dance that we had promised each other. The whole night was great. I had a blast.

Yesterday was mainly spent at home, minus going to CVS to get Homecoming pictures developed. I did my homework, then watched half of the first season of "Ned And Stacey" (that's right, 12/24 episodes). My dad bought me the first season on DVD while I was at the dance, which I was happy about (I've wanted to see that show for the longest time. It's cool to see Debra Messing's pre-"Will & Grace" work). This actually isn't a bad show, I like it. It's sad to know that it only lasted two seasons, but I guess Debra wouldn't have been cast as Grace if it would have gone on longer. So far, my favorite episodes are "Pilot-Ned And Stacey," "Take My Wife, Please" and "Reality Check." I can't wait until season two comes out, because Megan Mullally guest starred on that season, and I can finally see her episode of N&S.

xoxo

Homecoming Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOO!!!! The homecoming dance is tomorrow! I can't wait. It's going to be so much fun. Today was our pep rally, which was a good excuse to get out of Geometry (the pep rally was during period 8). Either the cheerleaders messed up or they started the song at the wrong place, but everyone started booing the cheerleaders, which was one of those instances where it's not supposed to be funny, but kind of is. I have to get my hair done tomorrow at 12:30 for Homecoming (I'm getting it done like Karen's in the W&G ep "Marry Me A Little, Marry Me A Little More"), then get into my dress, do my make up, go to Ryan's for pictures (Sarah's going to be there to. Sarah: MO' DIGITS!!!!! haha), go to the Olive Garden for dinner, then go to the dance. It should be a fun night.

Now something I stole from Matty (again)...

Wishful Thinking Meme
Fill this out completely and then tag three others.

1. If you could have a collection of anything in the world, what would it be?
+ Probably guitars. I'm so fascinated by them, I'd love to start up a collection.

2. If you could become anything you wanted, what would it be?
+ I think we all know this one, but I would be a singer/songwriter.

3. If you could star in any TV show, what would it be?
+ "Will & Grace" or if it was still on the air, "Roseanne" (I think Roseanne Barr is so funny)

4. If you could get away with doing anything for a day, what would you do?
+ I would go off and visit Nic, Matty, and Elks (If Elks was in the US that is, lol), spend the day with them.

5. If you could receive anything you wanted for your birthday, what would you want?
+ A decent acoustic guitar (preferrably a Vagabond. That way it's easier to take along with me to places)

6. If you could say anything in complaint to the principal of your school without getting in trouble, what would you say?
+ I can't think of anything

7. If you could meet anyone in the world in person, who would you meet?
+ I can't choose just one.

8. If you could marry anyone in the world, who would you marry?
+ I don't know

9. If you could reverse time just once, what would you do?
+ Go back and try to form a decent relationship with my grandmother

10. What is the most important thing that you want someone to tell you?
+ That they accept me for me

I am tagging... (I'll use people from my xanga, lol, but feel free to fill this out)
~Ryan
~Sarah
~Holly

xoxo
