This is a roleplaying journal for the character of Yori, from Tron.

Posts will be in character unless marked otherwise.

Shortly after helping to defeat the MCP in the original movie, Yori entered the Grid as part of Lora's digitization software package. Specifically, the analysis and error-check part. She has always spent a lot of time out at the Portal.

You may meet Yori in one of several versions.

Flashback Yori:
Any time a thread actually takes place in the past, a Yori from the appropriate time may appear. Yori-of-the-past tends to be much more cheerful than her post-revolution selves, for all the obvious reasons. Her main interests are Tron, the Portal, piloting, simulation and artwork, and understanding the User world.

Pre-Legacy Yori:
The Yori who usually runs around in the_grid is very busy working against Clu--or trying to. Call her Trace, unless you’ve known her long enough to recognize her even in disguise. She doesn’t want Clu to make any connections between a rebel and the Portal programs. This Yori was recently distracted by the discovery that Tron had not, in fact, been derezzed.

Actual posts in this journal will come from this period and deal with the_grid unless marked otherwise.

Post-Legacy Yori:
Found in the Tron sandbox grid_lined and in her player’s ficverse (begin with Recompiling, then Quarantine brings in Yori). She may be derived from the pre-Legacy version, and she may not be, but she couldn’t tell you either way; just before her capture, she wiped all memory of her rebellious activities in an effort to keep hidden Isos and other rebels safe. Yori took care not to wipe the knowledge that Tron had become Rinzler, but her appeal to him was not successful enough.

Clu had already begun thinking beyond the Grid, however, and rather than derez or repurpose an essential part of the Portal software, he eventually pressured Yori into accepting some relatively simple loyalty programming. She needed a little help getting rid of that after the events at the Portal, and is still dealing with the guilt of giving in. (Tron, Yori thinks, would have told her to protect the Users at all costs, but she broke when Clu ordered Rinzler to begin. Yori couldn’t let that happen...to Tron.)
