If you modded LiveJournal communities back in the day, please consider archiving them to Dreamwidth NOW. So much 2000s internet history lives there, and if LJ falls off the internet (as it very well might, depending on how things go in Russia in the near future), links will break and vast amounts of it will be lost. Wayback Machine only captures public posts; a Dreamwidth import can pull in locked posts and comments, and allow people to view them by joining the comm.

If you don't want to go to the hassle yourself, I will happily do it for you - just DM [DW]tenlittlebullets on DW and temporarily add 10littlebullets on LJ as a community mod. I can do it under this account, a catchall archivist account, or a specific one created just for the comm. If you want the Dreamwidth version to be co-maintained or transferred to your DW account, I can also do that.

If Dreamwidth's importer locks up, as it might if there's an archiving stampede, this Tumblr post (+reblogged mirror just in case) has instructions for exporting comments in XML format. LJ still has a built-in page that lets you do the same for posts. Dreamwidth won't let you import from these XML files, but they're still human-readable and can probably be imported to Wordpress if you want to host an archive later.

(Pre-emptive permission: Feel free to link, copy, repost, and spread this post wherever you want. Also feel free to translate it into any language you want. I would be both gratified and extremely relieved if any Russian speakers want to spread it around to people who were active on ЖЖ back in the day and are in a position to safely back up their old content; the offer to help with importing is still open, even if we have to communicate through Google Translate!)

For the squatters to finally get the boot.

Our courée's rehabilitation. There are still 8 out of 12 houses that need extensive fixing before they can be rented out again.

Aaaah but with that children's movies festival last week how do I choose... Wolf Walkers!!

Turned 36 ~~mon droit de vote a le droit de vote~~ and... most probably nothing. I hate celebrating my birthday.

~~Setting fire to the already vandalized houses.~~ ~~Nah.~~ If the squatters had gotten the boot sooner, like in the spring, so the houses could be already fixed, I didn't have to wallow in anxiety for so long and my boss wouldn't have fired me for needing a long sick leave and shorter working hours.

Antidepressants and anxiolytics.

Erm. I used to like it as a teenager, now not so much. At least not the random, OOC stuff. I don't know how likely I am now to read an improbable situation, it might pique my curiosity or make me roll my eyes and scroll by; if I am to write it myself I'll.. treat it serioulsy no matter how weird the prompt. I'll read Crack Treated Seriously! but I'm more likely to laugh at cracky fanart instead.

If anyone's interested, MUBI's doing a "3 months for 1€" offer again, until tomorrow.
On the plus side, yay, they have many promising-looking short movies! including several I saw last year in that beloved short-movie club in-between bouts of lockdown (yay Quebramar!) and Bill Plympton stuff!!
(It's something I find lacking from Netflix and miss from Canal+: good short movies. I mean Netflix does a good ones but very few and there's no easy way to search for them?)

I'm not even sure I made resolutions this year. And no I don't think I'll make anymore next year. What's the point at this point...

o3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My sister-in-law.

My favourite uncle.

None other than mine. I mean I went to England for my aunt's funeral but it doesn't count as a visit does it?

o6. What would you like to have in 2021 that you lacked in 2020?
A social life. Listen, when people-hating asocials start to feel lonely you know that this world is fucked up something big.

31st of October, that's when my neighbour's house caught fire and the yard started turning even worse.

Not dying? Honestly between the pandemic, the shit going on at work and the shit going on around me, at several points I just wanted to roll over and die and I'm surprised I didn't.

I still haven't fixed my central heating.

The worst cold in my whole life in early january. But yay no CoViD!

Happier. Considering only the very last days of december, when my mood can swing greatly month to month, day to day? coming back from a week of vacation with my close family sure beats entering a period of mourning and uncertainty.

Slightly fatter.

iii. richer or poorer?
This is a tough one. I have a bit more savings and I'm closer to owning my house... but at the same time, there's this terrible fear the house is losing its value, or I'm going to lose my house altogether and I'll be left with nothing, that didn't exist last year.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Going out with friends. Goingout, period.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Worrying. FML. ~~Also, attending funerals. Two are still too many.~~

Wait, it's already over. I didn't plan anything, I was at my brother's place and I think we did a rather informal christmassy thingy on the 26th. Which suited me.

Not gonna lie, governments everyhwhere handling the sanitary crisis better.

There's a meme going around on tumblr asking to tag your first fandom, your biggest fandom total and your current fandom
and this kind of question always reminds me of an anecdote back then in the heyday of LJ when my main fandom was indubitably FMA with a side of Bleach and a few others on the side, and a friend with whom I shared a few fandoms but clearly not all was convinced that my main and most beloved was Naruto instead and I went all "bwah??" and to this day I'm still not sure how they'd come to form this misimpression.
So I sort of wonder what fandoms people would like to see me more active in?

J'ai été bien sage cette année ; je n'ai pas dessiné de porn (la crise sanitaire et sociale m'a coupé toute motivation), ça n'est pas moi qui ai mis le feu à la courée (si je l'avais fait j'aurais ciblé les tas d'ordures jetés par les squatteurs et où vivent les rats, pas la maison de mon gentil voisin), j'ai plutôt bien travaillé (j'essaie de me persuader que ça n'est pas ma faute si j'ai mal suivi un mode opératoire modifié à l'arrache de façon non officielle).
Si comme dit ma sœur nettoyer et sécuriser la courée et faire placer ce portail dépasse autant tes capacités que les miennes, je veux bien viser plus bas et juste te demander le tome #4 des Petits Vélos (ISBN 2372874616) qui est en rupture de stock chez son éditeur et pas encore disponible d'occasion.

Due to my life turning into a all-but-literal dumpster fire just a week ago, I've been out of spoons to deal with any more real life troubles and I've chosen to avoid all news sources since Tuesday.
Today I decided I felt almost strong enough to go back to Tumblr--I carefully blocked tags and contents featuring variations of usa/elections/trump and
and what the fuck have I been missing since? canon Destiel? for real? like I'm not even in the fandom and ~~actually I used to have supernatural and spn tags blocked because I just don't care and it still found a way~~
